We had a fantastic dinner. The Steaks are wonderfully flavorful. Vegetable sides and the half chicken was soo delicious. We didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but they found a great table for us immediately. Service was impeccable. I recommend this Steak House 100 percent!

Crazy expensive but extremely good food. Would have been 5 stars but the fact that a steak by itself is $45 base and doesn't even come with any sides is wild. They charge $45+ minimum for just a steak and then the cheapest side to add on is $11 for basic fries is crazy. Don't get me wrong the steak is fantastic but that just seems crazy to charge that much for a tiny side order of fries, mashed potatoes or anything else. $13 for a small side mashed potatoes!? Again fantastic food but for $11 for a side add on is nuts. If you have a big appetite this may not be the place for you, but if you can be satisfied with just a bear bones $45 flat iron steak you'll be fine.

Sophia Steak
In looking for a great local steak house with an amazing experience to celebrate our 22nd Wedding Anniversary, Sophia Steak was recommended by a friend/restaurateur.
The booking process through Resy was simple.
We arrived about 20 minutes before our 6PM reservation on a Saturday night and staff pleasantly greeted us and immediately wished us a Happy Anniversary.
Upon being seated, our server (Jana S) also immediately wished us a happy anniversary and offered to bring some bubbly to the table to celebrate.
We started the evening with a 2018 Chateau St Georges Saint Emilion and some amazing Tiger Shrimp for the table. The wine was outstanding to start the evening and the appetizer was incredible.
For dinner the group moved to a Marengo Barolo and ordered Roasted Chicken; Filet; Flat Iron & the Tomahawk for 2 along with various salads and sides. The meal was brought out with great style and table served together. My wife had the chicken and was extremely pleased. Our friend had the Flat Iron which I think is difficult to cook, but done perfectly with great flavor. As for the Tomahawk for 2, I split that with my son and was amazed. Pre cut by chef and plated with the bone, béarnaise sauce and home made steak sauce it was cooked to perfection at medium rare. The fat left an amazing buttery taste throughout. Really can’t say enough about the tomahawk.
For dessert, Sophia’s treated us to a Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake for our anniversary which was outstanding.
The environment, the staff, the service, the food, ALL OUTSTANDING. Will definitely go back to Sophia Steak, and very eager to try some of their other restaurants around the area.
Thanks to Jim L for the recommendation. Wow, what an evening!

Tomahawk Ribeye
Excellent service by Noel. He was very attentive and made great suggestions. Sat on beautiful spacious patio. Drinks were good. Brandy old fashioned sweet was wonderful. Chopped salad with kale and lots of great vegetables. Perfect to share. Salmon over rice was huge and delicious. Tuna Takati was fresh and spicy. AUGRATIN potatoes were very creamy and good. Enough to share. Nice dessert list. Rhubarb pie with ice cream was delicious. Will definitely return. Noel made dinner fun and comfortable.

Last night started off a little rocky (20 minute wait after reserving 3 weeks in advance, first table offered was a high top in the noisy bar). Then the professional and polite service kicked into overdrive, and resulted in an exceptional experience. Neil (a manager) and Fernando (our server) were both extremely attentive. A perfect martini to start. The crispy lobster and shishitos appetizer was great. Wedge was a little dry. The filet was perfect, as was the spicy crab Campanelle. The key lime was a little too tart, but the butterscotch sundae was great. What made the evening, however, was the friendly and professional service. Will definitely return.

I ordered the Ribeye on DoorDash and can honestly say it was the best steak I have ever had. Well seasoned and just tender and juicy. Well worth the price if you want to treat yourself to a good quality steak. It’s one of those steaks that does not need the sauce but I guess it’s there for the well done folks.

5 stars isn’t enough. Incredibly gracious,
knowledgeable and friendly staff. We went for a birthday dinner and they took special steps to make sure the dinner was unforgettable. Our waitress, Zusy, was kind, patient and took extra care with our child who has food allergies.
The filet, salmon, brussel sprouts and chicken were delicious.
We are excited to go back soon.

Brussels Sprouts
We ordered the lobster appetizer, the crab cake, Sophia steak, Cajun Swordfish, chocolate cake, and tea. The food was wonderfully prepared and seasoned perfectly. The swordfish was the best my wife and I ever had. The staff was very hospitable and our waiter Paul was really amazing!!! Would love to come back weekly!

Had a wonderful time at Sophia Steak’s new Lake Forest location. The atmosphere was great and our server recommended the Oscar Style Black Angus Filet paired with one of their red wines. For our sides we got the Brussels Sprouts and Whipped Potatoes and they went perfectly with our steaks. Will definitely be back in the future!
