A nice place, one of the very few in town. We waited for a bit until we were greeted by the waitress, they only had fish and schnitzel- we had the schnitzel- it was okay, but it took a while for it to be ready (in their defense the place was full). Loved the little 🐕.
Where do I start....we helped ourselves to the menus this perked waitress interest. The waitress was pretty much inaudible. Not exactly bursting with any enthusiasm at all. However the order was correct. There were no croissants for my wife's first choice so that was switched to an omelette. The omlette arrived burnt. See photo.
My Sunshine breakfast was ok in almost all aspects except the BBQ sauce (or some other sauce) on the nice little steak. There's sauce on the table. I don't need it applying. I did enjoy the breakfast.
I'm still thinking of the burnt omlette 😡.
Now we get the the tea. It's only tea! Two five roses ordered which came in a pot literally less than half full of water. No milk. We asked for milk. The milk came in another cup which was impossible to pour. We got 2.3 small cups total from the pot. Tea is $12 so this might be the reason you only get a tiny amount. Who knows. There more to the tea story yet, don't give up on me....
We asked for more hot water to refill the pot.....delivered in a cup. Sent back so I'm not pouring almost boiling water at the table from a cup into the pot. Back the pot came half full again. Ok so we'd now had a full pot if you add them together. No milk. We ask for more milk. They've run out of milk. No milk !!! What cafe runs out of milk? Theres more yet...!
Weve finished, we sit for a few minutes and decide we've waited long enough. It's not hard to ask "is there anything else, would you like the bill" anyhow. We stand up to pay. A member of staff comes in with a polystyrene tray which seemed to have once contained her lunch. At least she saw we were waiting unlike the others chatting in the back. Lunch tray put on the counter and she proceeded to tally the bill. No hand washing, sanitizer or anything. No face masks either anywhere on anyone. Dirty tray right there. Cutting a long story short we had 4 teas....really??? I thought we had one half pot and a refill with more hot water. No milk. Did I mention they ran out of milk. How on earth.
Super dissatisfied, super disappointed. It's not hard to get this right. Really it's not. The errors were minor yet significant. So easy to get it right. 4 teas, I'm flabbergasted. No milk is just mismanagement to another level. Burnt food leaving a kitchen. How on earth.
We stopped here on the way and had a very pleasant lunch. The staff is very friendly, the food is good and the prices are also good!

We stopped here for lunch - really good chicken burger and chicken feta wrap (food took a bit to arrive, but they prepare all on the spot). Nice service and good garden location, so fully recommended!
