Sonic Champaign is super busy and seemed to be short staffed. After an extended wait in a stall I was about to leave when they finally took my order. Food arrived fast and hot and I'm so glad I waited. The young lady that brought the food out was so nice and attentive . 10 stars even with the wait. Just tried the drive thru, no one is taking orders. I gave up after ten minutes and staff is just sitting around ignoring the drive thru. Service: 1

This location is on our way to many things so we stop by here frequently. They're usually very quick even with large lines. I have never really had to complain about their accuracy. The employees seem to cycle through there routinely but we generally get smiles and good customer service from the people at this location. The hot food is hot and fresh. The cold food/drink is cold and not melted. I wish they would just add ketchup automatically to their burgers but you have to request it. They provide veteran and first responder discounts. Their emphasis on "real ice cream" is evident in their high quality shakes and blasts. Their fresh burgers are flavorful. Hmmm. Now I'm hungry and need to run an errand over there. The person mumbling over the order intercom, Taniyah, was horrendously rude and distasteful. She got my order completely incorrect, after the fact of me repeating it 4 times, then ended the call, cutting me off as I was speaking to her. I am normally not one to write bad reviews, but this level of customer service, or lack thereof, is extremely unacceptable. For the manager that will see this - please train your staff on basic customer service and how to properly interact with customers. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Not a bad place to stop. It does seem like most of the employees are not really wanting to be there and it shows at times. It's hard to find good people but for the most part the ones that do try are awesome and keep that place going. Prices are going up everywhere but feel they are better then the low quality of a place like mcdonalds. One side of the drive-in is closed and employee are parking in ordering spots I've been here 3 times and I seen this car parked with no one in it 12/17/2020 update last 3 spots are reserved for employees I guess this place needs to open the other side for service.
