As I was walking into my credit union, on the north end of River Point, I could smell their smoker nearly a mile away on the south side of Oxford off of Natches Ct / River Point Parkway across from Fergunson's! The smell made me instantly hungry, I could not resist then to head there next and to my pleasant surprise. I was warmly greeted by Monica and Brandon, the owner. I had some of the best barbecue in town, and they earned every bit of their 4.8 star Google rating. After I finished my food, I was offered a slice of their peach cobbler pie fresh off the smoker. It was completely off the hook and the best cobbler pie I ever had! The funny thing was that I ran into Brandon and one of his customers in line at my credit union chatting about this place and food. After I commented about the great smelling food outside, Brandon said it was probably his place down the street, which it was. I am glad that I made the detour on my way home. The food was good, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the ambiance inside is appropriately bbq/meat themed (see attached photo of the "vegan recovery center" paraphernalia. Love it, too funny!). Don't be fooled by the not so great area and pseudo strip mall it's located in. I actually drove down from downtown Denver as I have been struggling to find a good bbq place near there. Everything we got was tasty and can't go wrong with any of the sides. The portions were more than adequate, including the sides, especially as a lot of places these days seem to have gotten on the bandwagon of serving their sides in those ridiculously small condiment containers. Just laughable when they do that and makes you feel like you were way over charged for what you get as well. I also like how they just have two bbq sauce options, one sweet and one spicy (I really liked the sweet one), instead of the overwhelming number of different sauces other places always seem to offer and have no idea which to pick from and always seem to pick wrong. Although I do primarily eat vegan as I just happen to love fruits and vegetables, etc., I also love to have good meat/fish as well. And opposite of me, I have a friend who is a devout meat eater and hard core anti vegetable/fruit person who I may just get that T-shirt for as well as bring her to this place for sure! :-). Crave something different? Authentic? I feel at home even though i have none. I have a feeling this place is going to a big name worldwide. Better patient this stuff quick. If you want something different, not a 10 dollar stale burger.. you will always choose this place over.... pretty much everything. Who don't like smoked brisket? Bacon Mac n cheese? I just got hungry again.. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Bacon Mac & Cheese
Excellent vibe & delicious food! It smells great before you even walk in, and the dining room is smaller, creating an intimate atmosphere. The Blues playing over the speakers was perfect! The food came out quickly and was SO good...especially the baked beans. The manager was walking around and interacting with guests to make sure everyone was taken care of. By the time I left at 12:30, there was a line which means the word is already out! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped here after a track meet on the weekend. We had asked people for some recommendations and got the typical...Panera, Chick Fil A, etc...When I ask for recommendations I'm not looking for chain restaurants so I was excited when I found this place off google instead. Four of us had the rib lunch special, and one had the pulled pork sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals greatly. However, two of my ribs had TONS of meat while two barely had any. I guess they balance things out that way. Either way, they were tasty! The staff (except the girl who took the orders) were exceptionally friendly. I always appreciate places I can eat that have gluten free food due to celiac's and smoked meat places are usually guaranteed to have something for me. I would definitely recommend and go back if I was in the area! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
The food here is great. We got the three meat combo and it was plenty to share for lunch. The meat was amazing. The ribs were so tasty! My husband fell for the pulled pork, and its usually not his thing. The brisket is well worth the extra 2 bucks. The staff are unbelievably friendly. We came while he was short staffed, it was just him, and he busted his bum to make sure everyone was able to order and be served in a timely manner and was crazy nice through the rush of people. Great blues music in the background. Come to this place. It's worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Brisket

Absolutely without a doubt the best barbecue I've ever had! Such an incredible atmosphere! We came in just before close and missed out on ribs but we were so impressed with the chicken and brisket that we couldn't be disappointed. The owner is so passionate about what he does it's contagious! Highly recommend the smoked cobbler it is 100% worth it! Me and my crew was working doing some parking lot repairs where they are located. I decided to treat my guys to bbq for lunch and gave them a shot. My guys absolutely loved to pulled pork and brisket we got. The prices are reasonable and the food, well it was fantastic. I've definitely found my new favorite bbq place and I will be back again for more. The owner guy was very nice as well as the 2 girls he had working there. If you're looking g for good bbq in the denver area I'd definitely recommend you give this place a try. I would have gotten better pictures of the food to share, but my guys went through it to quick. 🤣🤣 Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
Holy cats is this good. Pulled pork melted in my mouth like bbq meat clouds. Bbq chicken was fantastic. Bacon mac n cheese is made with corkscrew pasta, not cheap elbow macaroni, and uses real cheeses. Green beans have bacon like God intended. Eat here. Often. Wow! Having grown up in St Louis, went to college outside Kansas City, spent considerable time visiting family and friends in Texas, Tennessee, and Kentucky I feel confident stating that I know what good BBQ is. Smokin’ Outlaw knocked my socks off. I read the reviews and expected decent food, at time of review the restaurant has a 4.8/5. However, I didn’t expect it to be just this dang good. I ordered the 2 meat combo with the Brisket, Pulled Pork, Bacon Mac n Cheese, and the Smoked Cobbler. The Brisket gave me the biggest surprise, I haven’t had any good brisket in over a year since moving to Colorado. That changed today. Perfectly moist, fatty, with a good texture compliment in a firm and flavorful crust. The seasoning was phenomenal with a perfect mix of savory and spice. The Pork reminded me of smoking at home with my dad. Moist, juicy, smoky, full of that delicious pork flavor, and it was well pulled to boot. The Mac N Cheese was solid with great cheesy flavor and a punch of pork from the bacon that made up a good quarter of the dish. The Cobbler turned this into a two superstar meal. This was the best cobbler I’ve ever had, perfectly sweet with a great amount of flaky crust that managed to sop up just the right amount of peach syrup. On top of the fantastic food, the service was kick-butt too. My food came out in 2-3 minutes, the young lady at the register was polite and responsive. After taking the first bite I managed to snag the owner to tell him how good I thought the food was. We had a short conversation and he was nothing but thankful and down to earth for the praise and the opportunity he’s been given. I WILL be back and more than just once.
