If you are traveling and like looking for mom and pops it's worth leaving the interstate a little ways . Smoke and Shines bologna sandwich sets it apart from a lot of mom and pop bars and restaurants. It's very warm and comfortable and friendly. Had special Brisket & 2 sides don’t like the entrance. The bar stools are the worst i have ever sat in. Nice clean bar. Brisket 3 small slices were rubber no flavor def no smoke. Beans tasted like Cheap canned beans with some bacon and onion. no flavor. This place is a hidden gem down in Tolono. Great food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more things from the menu! They have daily food and drink specials as well as an affordable main menu. The spicy cheese curds were especially food, as are the selection of house BBQ sauces. The only criticism my husband could come up with was that the smash burgers were not quite big enough for the patty melt bun, but that is a pretty small oversight to an otherwise delicious sandwich. The fries are my favorite kind - larger, very crunchy, and creamy inside.
