Stopped by this smoke house today on the way back the beach. I was very excited because it was my first time trying this place and it looked amazing from what I seen.
I was a bit disappointed by the woman who told me that she wasn’t going to make a lamb burger for me which is what I wanted. Only if it had a rush for it than she will only make me the burger were her exact words. I couldn’t believe it because I can’t understand why they would have that as a menu item if they won’t make it for you, only under certain circumstances. That was a huge turn off for me.
So I ordered something else on the menu, which was the chicken dinner with a side. A lot of the sides where not available as well. Which was another turn off. After getting the food, the quality was okay, tasted decent but it definitely wasn’t worth it for the price because of the portion size.
Very surprised of how disappointed I was after visiting today!

Ambiance gets 11 out of 10.
It's clean and well laid out. You WANT to stay and have your meal.
The food was very good. I was able to taste smoked potatoes, beef brisket, corn bread, smoked chicken, and pulled lamb. The texture of all the meats I tried was tender.... Nothing chewy or fatty... Unfortunately for me, the pork wasn't yet ready when I got there (I was there when they opened the gates) so I had to change my plan. I tried the lamb, which is NOT my go-to food and it was surprisingly good. Best lamb I've ever had actually. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu
Room for improvement is with the cutlery.... The forks we were eating with would find sponge cake challenging....much less, a baked potato.
Overall very impressive though. I wish them every success.

If you're on your way to or from Mayaro and environs this is a great place to stop and have lunch. Great smoked meats with lots of flavor. It's just a little bit above the average price but it's definitely worth it. They have sufficient parking right next door and lots of seating indoor and outdoor. Definitely will visit many times again in the future.

Visited today, they served my fish on a piece of paper which was such a turn off, before I could finish eating the paper was basically all in my fish as it got soaked up with the moisture of the fish. The food tasted okay but presentation was the worst I ever came across. They can do better than that.

There is a wide variety of meals to choose from, cosy and homely seating arrangements for both indoor and outdoor diners. There is a nice ambiance and you feel to eat as soon as you smell the delicious aroma ruminating around the counter. The meals are tasty and vegetarians are not left out as they have quite a few vegan selections, so they are a good option even if you are fasting, vegan/vegetarian or just a normal person looking for a bite to eat.

It's a place to visit and have lunch. I had a stuffed potato, fresh salad and lamb.
The food was delicious. The lamb is soft, tastes great. My friends had pork ribs and pulled pork. The pulled pork is succulent, tasty and delicious, same with the ribs. I bought chicken and potato salad for my son, the chicken is juicy and fall off the bone tender.
The Smoke Shed is a must return for me

We all know that in Trinidad when it comes to great food and great service, one must be suffered for the abundance of the other. That's not the case at Smoke Shed. You can tell dedication, passion and love goes into the food as they work hard not to jeopardise the quality of food in an attempt to offer great tasting food and meats that are done well. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Though the serving tinge is a bit slow, it's worth the wait, but granted that they are just suffering a shortage of staff, they do their damnest best to bring you quality food in the shortest time possible.
In short, find yourself to Smoke Shed. Family oriented, exceptionally clean, modern, natural and all the things to love about a food joint.

Excellent food!
Sides were limited, and it was a bit of a wait... but u can't rush perfection I suppose lol.
