I've always loved Smithfield's. This location was no different. Great food, great service. It was very clean and pleasant. I don't know if it's me, but it seems like the hush puppies are a little less sweet than they used to be. I think that is the best thing they could have done. Just a hint of sweetness goes a long way. The fries were great, just need to put a couple dishes of salt and they were perfect. I had take out from here on January 27 (evening). I don't know who made the potato salad that night, but they deserve a raise. That was the BEST potato salad I have had at any Smithfield BBQ anywhere! I just had to share that. I hope whoever made it sees this. Highly recommended!! This was such an unexpected surprise!! Wow!! With all the busyness around we wanted to stop and get a bite without all the crowds of drive thru. Sit and eat in a nice clean place. Food was Fantastic and the service was unbelievable. Everyone was so kind and helpful. You don’t get that anymore. I would have given them 10 stars if I could!! Perfect.....ordered, sat down, food arrived. Only small thing I'd ask for; please remind the cashier, she talked too fast. I am older, and hearing is not the best. This is a great place to get chicken tenders or some descent 'Q while on the road. It's also my new favorite place to grab a bite to go before charging the Tesla in the mall across the street! The staff has stereotypical southern patience and friendliness (I watched a cashier help an older woman taking more than 5+ minutes to decide on an order), the bathrooms are clean, and there's plenty of places to sit in the cavernous dining room. We found the portion sizes large enough to share, and the meat high quality if a little light on the salt. It's definitely designed to go along with one of the sauces for most people's tastes. Definitely stopping here again on the next trip south.

Ms. Pat is such a joy to see and run into. Our food was amazing! Potato salad tastes like there is sugar in the recipe. Brunswick stew is the BEST aside from a place back home in Florida! Friendly service from all employees and great food!
