The only meal I ate were the French Fries and chicken combo. The fries are delicious 😋 but the chicken in my opinion is not good. The chicken was served hot along with the fries just the way I like them but the chicken is coated in a thick batter which I personally did not care for and the chicken was not flavorful. I normally love Smithfields. The food is really delicious. The staff is efficient and friendly, and we leave satisfied and full. But not this past week. They're up to their old tricks again where they are serving up child size meals, for adult prices. I ordered a barbecue platter with sides and the barbecue was a toddler proportion and it was on the cool side. The sides were fine. My significant other ordered a shrimp platter and his sides were fine, but he had a tiny handful of shrimp. This Fuquay-Varina restaurant did this nonsense several years ago, and we complained about it then. We asked the manager why they were cheating their customers out of a normal size meal, and their response back then was--"we feel bad. Let us give you a free dessert." We told them, then, that we didn't want a free dessert. We simply wanted...What we paid for.
