I did not purchase food so I cannot rate it. The bartender was rude however she did apologize for not knowing how to make a Manhattan. Atmosphere was okay

Found this great little neighborhood bar by accident - - and now we try to stop in as often as we can when we're up this way! Friendly bartenders AND regulars will make you feel right at home here (especially if you toss a few good songs on the jukebox!)! Cheers!
Very surprised to find a true dive bar in Skokie. Bartender did not know how to make an old fashioned. Could not make a Manhattan since they do not stock sweet vermouth. Wine options were poor. Good for a shot and a beer but not much else.
Stopped in the first day of the suburban bars being open to meet up with old friends and Lynda who must be Skokie’s friendliest bartender. Had a great time. Matter of fact went back two days later. Beer and whisky specials everyday.
It was 10pm on Wednesday when I was there . There was probably about five people in the place. It was cozy & they were friendly. I only stopped in for one drink, while I was waiting for my transportation. Not sure if they have food. I am going back though, I am curious enough to spend a little more time there and see how it is. Neighborhood old-time bar . Not sure if your drinks are good or bad because I just had a club soda. I will edit my post after I go back.
