I choose this place over other places because it is quiet and tranquil. I like to enjoy my food in peace. The pork is correctly season and pair it with beer is just perfection.

Nothing much in here. Was looking for wild boar meat, but it seems like wild boar meat hard to find nowdays after the attack of deadly virus. Smoky as usual 🤣🤣 clothes, hair all smell like smoke. The food is ok..

Quite an overhyped place I would say, suppose to be Wild Boar meat since thats what Bakas means, end up serving us just normal pork. Even the pork isn't as tasty as another shop I tried, even the Lihing is poor!!

Sinalau means barbecue. Bakas means wild boar. The boar is from the east coast; full of flavour ie slightly gamey. It was served with pickled local ginger and local pineapple "salsa". Great with cold beers. The proprioters were very friendly like your aunt and uncle. I would definitely go again.
I once ate Cha Siu and thought to myself "Life couldn't get any better than this". Oh how blissfully unaware and ignorant I was; like a pig in mud. After squealing about the splendor of HK style bbq pork, my friend said there was one better; that there was a mythical meat so powerful that it had to be hidden deep in the jungles of Borneo.
We hopped into the pig... I mean rig and set off on an epic journey. As we approached, my snout perked to the smell of Wild Boar on the grill. like a pig at a truffle farm, I went hog-wild on the delicately aromatized and slightly crispy wild boar. With grunts between bites and concerned glances from others, I pigged out and ate it up. I have become one with the pork and am now achieved spiritual enlightenment in a state of Babi.
Very homey environment with the proprietor really friendly & likes to converse. Food is simple but tasty, even the simple soup with nothing in it is tasty. Price is reasonable. At this moment, wild boar is not available.
