Best Authentic Kenyan food in Malindi. If you want real Swahili dishes this is the place to be. Biryani, Pilau, Mahamri, Kenyan tea. Totally recommend the Chicken Biryani and the Kenyan tea with spices. I had the best tea at Simba Dishes. Very local place, does not have the 5 star ambience but very clean and the tastiest food in Malindi. The locals eat here so great place to see authenticity. Staff very professional and food is delivered fast! Service Dine in Price per person KES 1–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish Fry
Good food fast and and cheap. You know it’s good because the place is full. Huge portions of biriyani so come hungry. Great Swahili food. Price per person KES 500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Beef Biriyani
Bought x2 fish dishes for 300 each... but got charged 500 for each of them...I been told fish for me was bigger than in meniu.. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person KES 500–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fish Fry
Had dinner here, a Beef Biryani, was full of flavour and tender. Traditional coast restaurant. The good quality and low price was reflected in the place being very busy and despite that the food was ready very quick. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Recommended here by our local driver for some cheap local Swahili food. Had a lovely meal and a delicious Chai. You eat with the locals which is nice. Not many options for vegetarians. Quick service. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely loved this place! First of all, the staff are one of the kindest I have ever met. I accidentally spilled water into my food and I got a new plate with even more food! Their beef biryani was just amazing full of powerful flavors that just engulf you. I also tasted their mishikakis which were really good and came with a really good garden salad. I also had their tamarind(ukwaju) juice which was extremely tasty and perfectly cold for that heat. The best part is that their food was really affordable and worth all your coins. I would definitely recommend if you ever happen to find yourself in Malindi.
Really authentic local place with fantastic food. Had the chicken Biryani and it was delicious and full of flavor. Friendly and fast service. Affordable prices. I would always come here again instead of some of the fancy tourist places in Watamu and alike.
