Walked in to have dinner and everyone just stared at me. I had to ask if they were open to be acknowledged. We sat at the bar. The bartender had the personality of a wet fish. We were the only ones in the place eating and it look 45 min for our nasty food to arrive. Cold and tasteless. Burger came out well done (ordered it med-rare). Had to send it back. Took about 30 min to get a replacement burger. Asked the bartender to check on the status of the burger. Chef came out and was questioning us about sending the burger back and told us that bartender was complaining that we were being inpatient. What kind of restaurant does that?? No apologies no nothing. Would NEVER return. Bun was stale, food was gross, service was AWFUL. So disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Came here on a night outing to ask for a water while sitting at the bar some chef? owner came out and told us we are not allowed to approach other tables, we didn't approach anyone and no server had been over at that table since we got there, owner/chef threatened us and told us to leave, server was quiet and seemed like he didn't wanna be there and then he got yelled at for letting me have a cup of water. horrible service and super rude management Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The bartender was very friendly. The cook did a spectacular job. I loved the homemade aioli that went great with the burger and fries. The chocolate mousse cake was rich and yummy. I came on July 31st. I’m definitely coming here very soon. My favorite burger so far btw….that’s coming from a former Five Guys employee. I had an amazing night! Thank you so much Silver Strings! Food was good… the food that came out on time. I ordered wings and they were forgotten… at the bar! My first drink didn’t have mint which was fine for a mojito. My second drink was made incorrectly- a simple Moscow mule. I sent it back as it was not what I ordered. I feel like as a previous bartender myself you should be able to tell by the color that it is not good. I gave it a chance knowing something was off. My third drink was okay, but still not made correctly. We picked this place because it looked like a nice Venue, however I’m disappointed in the service quality. My partners drink was good. The food is good, not amazing, but good. The staff are very accommodating though, which makes up for the food being okay. The drinks however, are great! If you’re going for happy hour, I highly recommend!

Showed up at 11:06, ordered food by 11:14, the first order of fries didn’t come until 12:08, the bartender apologized and claimed responsibility, then the chef came out and gave us our order of wings an hour and a half after we had ordered them, and as he placed it down accompanied it with the statement “these are on us” only for them to be rubbery and tiny and to find them on the bill at the end of the night. Save your time and don’t bother coming here after anything at the Fillmore, unless you want to waste an hour and a half to get disappointing food after waiting for a half hour after you’d like to have been home. I really love this place and I hope more people will discover it soon. The menu is not large, but everything is really good. I especially love their crab cakes. Also really like the berry cobbler they were serving the last time we went in -- see the photo. The atmosphere here is not like any other place in Silver Spring, lovely spot for date night or to meet and catch up with a friend. More ambiance than a lot of the other places near by. How can you NOT love a place that has classic movies on the TVs over the bar instead of sports? They often have live music, including jazz. Great service, too. A great addition to the Silver Spring restaurant scene.
Im giving it 3 stars because of ambiance and the bartenders doing a good job, but the food was not good at all. We had an order of the chicken wings and an order of their New York Strip (both of which have a slightly different name on the menu, but you get the point.) We got there at 9:40 or so and the kitchen is supposed to close at 10 or so which is the only benefit of the doubt I would give the chef. But as we sat down at the bar, the bartenders got slammed with a flood of customers coming in; the theater next door had apparently just let out. Anyways, I thought the bartenders handled the rush fairly well. They took our order in time, and the food and drinks came out at a reasonable time. But things went downhill from that point on… We ordered the wings double fried which came out cooked normal and not well done, but overall I would say the wings were… mehh… okay. And as for the steak, It could hardly get any worse! We ordered the steak medium, and it came out well done. It was a thin cut of steak which explains why it was so over cooked. It was dry and tough. It did not have enough salt, and hardly any pepper at all. It was only seared around the edges, and the center was mostly just tough, over cooked, meat. I had to ask for some A1 sauce so I can eat it. Keep in mind, at $26 this was not supposed to be a cheap little flat iron stake you get at a greasy spoon diner, but it closely resembled one. The ambiance was really nice though, and I think some nights they have live music, which would’ve probably improved the experience, but like I mentioned we went on a weekday, at around 9:40 or so, and there was no live music at that point. If you can catch the live music, its probably gonna be a nice experience, but for now avoid their steak at all costs. And if the chef reads this, i hope they improve the menu for the better, because I think the restaurant has a lot of potential. A smaller but thicker cut of steak, a nice sear, some good old black pepper and a meat thermometer is all you need for a good steak.

Excellent Silver Branch local beers on tap, tasty food. Best of all are friendly bartenders Norm and Gary. Check out this new neighborhood spot.

After an evening at The Fillmore, we were starving and happy to see this place was open. We had the Rock burger and Slayer burger and it was ~delicious~. The fries were also perfect, like McDonald's but all of them were actually crispy. The restaurant has a nice laid back, rustic vibe. There are plenty of options for beers and cocktails. 10/10 for a post fun wind down. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
