I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes & a cake for a woodland animal themed baby shower. The cake was chocolate cake w/chocolate buttercream & raspberry mousse, and mama-to-be requested it to look like a tree stump. Everything looked and tasted AMAZING! Ordering and picking up was so easy and all of the guests raved about the cake & cupcakes!!

I order a graduation cake for my daughter's graduation and Danielle was a real pleasure to work with. She was constantly in touch with me and very responsive to my questions. The cake was not only beautiful and beyond my expectations but also very fresh and delicious. Danielle did our wedding cake and it was UNBELIEVEABLE! seriously the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. She had a phenomenal set up to try different flavors and combos of frosting. We landed on the raspberry cake and lemon mouse and it did NOT disappoint. Everyone was raving about the flavors and how delicious the cake was. Danielle was such a pleasure to work with and always made sure it was exactly what we wanted.

Ordered a black, white, and gold cake for my graduation party. The black icing over the white fondant had a purple tint and was very noticeable across the cake. I included a picture in the photos section. Then Danielle didn’t give me a box that could shut all the way to fit my cake because of the height. The cake was only 4 layers. The cake not having a proper lid and not being enclosed was inconvenient. She said the reason for this was because of the cap made of fondant which was on top of the cake which made the cake too tall for the box she put it in. The cap could have been put in a separate, smaller box, for me to then place on the cake so that my cake would fit in the box. Then my cake also wasn’t sufficiently supported as seen in the second photo. 10 minutes into the drive home after picking up the cake it tilted quite badly and broke apart. In the second photo you can see that PAPER COLUMNS were used to support the cake. The columns that were supposed to support my cake got soggy because the cake was moist and it dampened them. In the photos I posted you can see where they bent inward and allowed for the cake to shift. Plastic columns are standard practice to support cakes in order to prevent this from happening. I paid $130 for this cake and wasn’t able to serve it because of the look of it and the fact that it shifted so harshly that it wasn’t repairable. I asked for a partial refund and this is the response I got “Hi Veronica- while I am sorry that your cake did not arrive in the condition it was picked up, we can not offer you a refund. It was inspected upon pick up and approved by your friend. Please see the invoice terms for clarification.” Obviously the cake was accepted at the time of pick-up because it hadn’t shifted in the car yet. Danielle was unreasonable in this situation. I do not suggest ordering from here!

Danielle is an incredibly talented baker! She always personalizes your cake or cupcakes beyond what your own imagination could think of. I asked for a fish cake and cupcakes for a French holiday and it was spectacular! She even made them gluten free and they were delicious. I highly recommend Silver State Bakery for any special event.

Nothing tastes better than homemade baking. You can count on Silver State Bakery for absolutely perfect and super moist cakes, but the buttercream frosting is my favorite.
