Updated: Super sad to knock my original 5 stars when I returned for a tuna sandwich, my food was SUPER salty, to the point where I got a sodium induced migraine (which has never happened before). I’m hoping this was just a fluke but perhaps worth asking then to make sure things aren’t too salty. ••••• My friends stumbled across this our first night in Lamu town and planned to return within our first few bites. A small menu but everything was delicious and very fresh (our food was made to order). Their juices were superb. I ordered the chicken cheese steak with a bit of doubt but they disappeared as soon as I started eating. Who knew Swahili food and Philly? The staff was very kind and eagerly welcomed us in. We sat at the far lining the small interior with a fantastic view of the water. The main restaurant may be difficult to access for small children or folks who have trouble walking as it is up some very steep steps; however, there is also covered seating along the water outside.
Swahili menu with a twist… Philly cheese steaks! The food was incredible and a really good value. We tried the cheese steak and fish curry and both were great. Also, HIGHLY recommend any of the juices (especially the mango)
Amazing food and great value!! Everything was really delcious and fresh
A wonderful place. Best seafront view in lamu, and the food is amazing.
