Having seen BYU Museum of Paleontology, it's time to have a rest at this cafe. Shirley's Bakery offers you tasty cheese rolls, turkey sandwiches and rice soup. I love a good bakery and they are difficult to find. Growing up we had a “Real” Bakery near our home. Shirley’s can’t be beat! After having their raspberry rolls I was hooked on them. I wish they were closer to me!!! When I go to events in Provo, I can’t wait to pick up a huge box of delicious items and breads. First time at Shirley’s. Not super impressed by the T.B.A on focaccia I ordered but all was forgiven once I tried the cinnamon roll. Easily one of the top two I’ve had in my life including homemade!! I’m not sure when Shirley’s went SO downhill but this morning I ordered a breakfast croissant and this is what I received. Two slices of bread- not toasted, a half cooked egg and a glob of cheese…? It also cost $11and I waited 45 minutes for it!!!! This will be my last time going here. Ordered a dozen cinnamon and raspberry sweet rolls a month in advance as was told a specific time to pickup. Got there early and was told that they ran out of cinnamon and raspberry and that I’d have to wait. Normally I would just wait without it being a big issue but we scheduled it for a reason and ended up being late to the event that they were for. You can just tell that they aren’t very good at all at managing the place. They are really nice but should keep track of their orders better so they are not promising things they can’t deliver on. I wasn’t the only person in this situation either, there was ten other people in the same boat there at the same time. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

I enjoyed the rolls and other treats, we have come a few times and the price is good. My one real complaint for everyone who has taken a dozen to the office or whatever... The bag is of issue, half the frosting sticks to the bag, help us all out and fix the bag issue. We ordered 14 dozen and loved them but the dang nags... Ugh it was frosting everywhere. My experience here today was not spectacular. Shirley's has a great idea, but I wasn't That happy with my sandwich. Perhaps it was just the time of day. Love Shirleys. Their sweet rolls are amazing. My favorite are the lemon and the raspberry sweet rolls. Such fun flavors and they are so soft and delicious. Their sandwiches and salads are also so good. We tried a breakfast sandwich which we really liked because it had great flavor and didn’t have an egg in it which is pretty unusual for a breakfast sandwich.

Shirley's is a great local bakery. The sweet rolls are top notch. Soft, chewy, and tender bread topped with a generous amount of fluffy frosting. They are reasonably priced as well, about $1/ each for a large dinner roll sized bun. You can't go wrong with raspberry, orange, or cinnamon ... and go for the cream cheese frosting! I like that I didn't have to order breakfast at breakfast time. The resturant let us order lunch. I ordered Cali Club on white bread, BBQ chips and drink. I also bought a container of rolls that is half blueberry and other half lemon. Can't wait to try them. I love any type of pastries or breads. Will go back and bring daughters to try. I really like that Shirley's doesn't waste by using Styrofoam or cardboard for serving food. Just a smaller cookie sheet and parchment paper. Way to save the environment.
