Sushi was very tasty and service was top notch. Very authentic looking sushi den and if your a fan of photography they have an interesting collection of old cameras. One side note people should know is that they don't take debit/credit.

6 star if possible. Perhaps the best Japanese restaurant in East Africa. Strangely the owner Mr. Lee is Korean and also owns the K Restaurant which is walking distance from Shashin Ka. The food is exquisite and the presentation is fabulous. Reservation might be a good idea to ensure seating. Sushi options are great. Food is fresh and yummy. A must visit.

We liked this place so much, that we had two dinners in a row!! First of all - try to imagine - find the best quality japanese food in Kenya!! The master chef san is the Japanese, thus the quality and attention to the service is the best!! Local stuff guys very very friendly and sometimes a bit relaxed in the Akuna matata way, however this has been strictly guided by the chef san and some times I thought he was about to bring his hidden katana to the light 🗡️!! Actually it was very fun and super enjoyable time for us, that's why we spent there two evenings. All people are very friendly!! Very nice and memorable time! Food was amazing!!! Wine selection if also good! One important remark : it is highly recommended to make the reservation and pre-order the food in advance as it is being prepared by the the chef only and you can imagine that he cannot produce few miracles in the same time, especially when it comes to the big sets of sushi 🍣. Enjoy you time in Kenya and Happy New year 2023!!!

We went there with high expectations and left totaly disapointet. The service was friendly but really unable to to her job, our order was a complete chaos the whole evening. As well the Mananger seemed like she had no idea who to talk with guests. The sushi was ok but not worth waiting for 1 hour. Our main the Ramen was a big dissapointment. If i prepare instant Ramen at 3am in my apartment it tastes better.
We where hoping to find our favourite restaurant in Diane but unfortunately one of the worst so far.
We spend our Christmas Dinner here and it was fantastic. My friend and I got a seat by the bar, where we got to watch the chef prepare beautiful sushi platters. Fish was super fresh and delicious, the staff was nice, chef was fun, no complaints whatsoever. It was a total experience and worth every penny.
