Worst presentation of raw oysters I've ever seen! Looks like a bowl of... Well you know what. No thank you. 🤢🤮 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Best, freshest margaritas in town, and their southwestern slaw tacos are my fave! Staff are always cheerful and man do they hustle!
I have to say shark bites has some amazing food! Great quality food for a very good price. The staff made my family feel like we were part of their family! The environment is so easy going and fun! Thank you Shark Bites for such a great experience on the coast! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Baja Tacos

Prompt service, pretty good food but the price points are kind of high for the value of food ordered. Crab cake burger was fine. Black beans were very bland. Cole slaw and clam chowder was pretty good. I would come back , but given there are numerous seafood joints around I would be inclined to try another place. We were just looking for a place to eat once we got to Coos Bay and saw their sign and knew we had to eat there. Great place and great service. We ordered the house squeezed margaritas which came with fresh squeezed fruit juices and shared the seafood plater, which came with fried battered cod, Alaskan halibut, grilled oysters, calamari strips, popcorn shrimp, clam strip, a Dungeness crab cake and fries. It also came with a trio of dipping sauces. All was cooked perfectly and very tasty.
Food was extraordinarily fresh and the decor made for a beautiful and intriguing atmosphere. I had baja tacos. They were delivered directly, still hot with fresh tortilla chips, salsa, black beans. The salad was clean and crisp. Loved both! The margarita was well balanced between sweet, sour, and salty. After the initial order, however, no one asked us if we would like anything else or how we were enjoying the food. Just dropped off the check as if they couldn't wait for us to leave. It was a bit busy but not packed. I wasn't expecting a chat, but a second drink might have been nice. I saw the wait person thank another family profusely for their tip. That kind of stung. I would come back, but other restaurants would probably be higher on the priority list. First time visit! We enjoy a good cup of clam chowder as much as the next person, but this recommendation from a recent family member, was spot on. The clam chowder is super flavorful, creamy and had large pieces of clam in it. Absolutely amazing soup. We also ordered the Halibut & Chips and the Mex tacos. Both were fabulous! Great service and atmosphere (family style). Thanks. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fantastic experience all around. The spicy Blackened Halibut Tacos were perfect from texture to flavor (the photo does not do them justice), and my House Made Margarita was just as delicious. The two guys running the place truly knew how to hustle without missing a beat, even when the place was packed, and it was just them two. I plan to visit every time I'm in town! (I'm terrible at leaving reviews, but this one was worth it)

Disappointing this time. Visited the Sharkbites about 5 years ago and it was delicious! So when we were going thru Coos Bay again we knew we wanted to stop in for a quick bite. The price ($19 and change) was very high for what they called half a dozen "jumbo shrimp", more like large frozen shrimp that you find at the grocery store. You know, not that big and shrink when cooked. It was overcooked, but the fresh garlic was yummy. The salad was delicious and so was the ranch dressing. My husband's chicken (not pictured) was listed as beer batter chicken but it was in the shape of a patty, very thin and the batter wasn't very thick. The decor is adorable and we didn't partake but the cocktails looked good. The set up was a little odd, they had us order from the "market" and then they brought us the food in the dining room and checked on us periodically, filled our drinks, etc. But I would have rather just ordered at the table like a traditional restaurant, especially with their prices. We probably won't be back.
