Jhal Chakian is a small town located approximately five kilometers away from Sargodha on the way to Khushab. Originally, the town was only known for its windmill, but now it's better known for a popular roadside restaurant Jhal Chakian ki Mashoor Daal that has been operating for the last 60 years. Now this restaurant has various branches in different cities. Recently we visited their branch in G-8 Markaz. We tried their famous dall, Namkeen Rosh and beef karahi. We take the tea after dinner as well. The taste and quality of food was outclas and so much memorable. The behaviour of their staff was so professional and respectful. Food was amazing specially Shahi daal and Haleem. However, service was not up to the level, we had to wait for almost 1 hour. If they want to ehance the business they have to improve their service. In g-8 adjacent to jaguar motors,(dont fall prey to shah g restaurant same location). Go for Green color restaurant. Best of the best desi ghee paratha,desi ghee daal and chicken qorma. Very economical place to have meals. Food is good as compared to the prices. Tried daal chawal. The taste was good, nothing like homemade daal chawal but good. It is served with raita and salad. The salad was very fresh and crunchy. If you need extra raita or salad, ask them. Service was good and fast. However, not a family place. Families can enjoy food in the cars. Saag n makai rooti was a fab. With mā khan n achaar. Must try it. But unfortunately no sitting area for ladies or even families. Parking is very limited. N aa u know beggars keep on coming n the worst part was customers sitting in front of u will not stop staring at you while u r eating this.
