Highly recommended shop for Penghu cuisine, and we weren't disappointed. The mama immediately knew we were foreign and clueless, she was most happy to fix us up. Everything was so good! Personal favourites were the salt pepper squid, salt water poached chicken and the pancake. Not a cheap meal, but well spent. If you are looking for great authentic Taiwanese cuisine then look no further, check out this place, you will not be disappointed. Traditional setting, just as I like it. We had the dishes on the pictures below and they were all so different and yummy, for sure best Taiwanese food I had so far. Which one was my favorite, is hard to say, but maybe the simplest one we had, the spicy minced meat you wrap-up in fresh salads leaves. Will be back and try some more things. Friendly and spot-on service, keep up the good work!
Been here quite a few times now and have enjoyed every single dish we’ve tried. My consistent favorites are the beef noodles without soup, the egg fried tofu, and the ginger plum chicken. The food is always very delicious and well-prepared. I never feel like we have to wait too long for our food to come after we’ve ordered. The ambience is nice, especially in the Japanese style rooms and the service is friendly and prompt. My only knock on the place is that it’s expensive so I can only eat here infrequently. Worth coming when you feel like splurging in a nice meal.
This place has the best fried egg of my life. The dan dan noodles and “coral” bread were also incredibly delicious. When i go back to Penghu im going here for sure.

So happy to find this restaurant in Penghu! Local cuisine with a twist..all dishes were great, served right away without any waiting time and in a very nice, traditional home setting... Great food with some creative touches, prompt service and reasonable prices. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Penghu!
Nice Taiwanese food. English menu available if you need it. Some of the portions were a little small which is my only criticism. Everything else was great including the building which the owner told us used to be the residence of the local mayor during the Japanese era. It is apparently 120 years old. Pretty cool.

The best restaurant in town, lovely Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $400–600
Have both Indoor and outdoor dinning area. The indoor tatami washitsu (Japanese styled room) seats are a little uncomfortable for me with height of 5 ft 8. But the outdoors are tables and chairs. Food is good, service was fair. Prices are acceptable. I do recommend to people to give it a try.

The wonton soup was delicious. The wonton wrappers are so thin, they are translucent. The broth was delicious. The fish rice bowl was worth recommending. The yam sesame salad was delicious as well. The crab rolls could do well with less dough. Unique ambiance - some tables with chairs or benches as well as Japanese rooms. The live lobster and fish in the stone tub in the bathroom deserve a mention
