Visited Sela Vie three times and I’m truly impressed with the exceptional quality of the food. Every ingredient bursts with amazing flavors. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the experience. And the espresso? Simply great!

Delicious breakfast, can only recommend the poached egg on Avocado! The servers were quick and clever and the atmosphere was very nice.

Fantastic restaurant for lunch or dinner.
This review is based on 2 lunches and 1 evening dinner at Sela Vie.
The lunch - a more relaxed experience than the evening service, but still formal and sophisticated. It was here I ate the best chicken mayo sandwich I've ever had. Other guests at the table were also thoroughly impressed with their food and there were lots of 'bests'.
The dinner - a sophisticated fine-dining experience. A menue that makes you want to try everything. The choice of wines and drinks was extensive, and my food was fantastic. The lamb was cooked to perfection. The chef was even able to adapt the meal to suit a dairy-free member of our party.
The staff were really professional and friendly.
The venue is smart, with interesting decor.
The prices were very reasonable.

Poor service at best. Slow and no urgency to wait on people- even when it’s quiet. A real pity because the setting is beautiful and the food is also good but the staff really spoils the experience. Waiting for 30min + for a croissant and flapjacks on a quiet Monday morning is just unacceptable.

We were very excited to dine at this beautiful restaurant and was sorely disappointed!! It seems like the chef is trying too hard. The burrata salad was too salty with too much balsamic glaze. The fish dish was too salty! So much so that I had to remove it from the sauce just to suffer through the dish and survive. The veggie on the side was sooooo peppery that I am glad I didn’t invite my veggie friend. All and all I feel bilious for being here. Such a pity because the ambience is soooo romantic and stunning. Maybe next time I’ll have a bowl of chips ( no salt ) and a glass of bubbly. And to say the least, no one seem to care. After giving feedback everyone ignored us and started throwing pans around at the back of the kitchen. 😳

The full restaurant is not yet open, so this is really a review of the coffee window only. Fun, vibey, elegant new space on Val De Vie estate offering great coffee & bakery items; much improved coffee offering vs Ruebens who was previously in the space.
A gem in the Winelands. Beautiful restaurant in an idyllic venue with delicious food from a versatile menu. Service is impeccable. This spot needs to become a hangout spot for connoisseurs.

Went for drinks over the Easter weekend. They have an excellent selection of premium champagne and wine. We were also treated to a complementary Easter inspired cocktail which was delicious. Atmosphere is sublime - Luxurious and comfortable. The space is so beautifully curated. Service was exceptional. Staff were friendly, professional and super attentive. Can’t wait to come back and try the food!

I liked my experience there, the staff was very kind and helpful even though it is not a halal restaurant they managed to serve us with halal options. Their coffee and desserts were delicious. Definitely will come again and recommend it to others.
