Based on the reviews I was really excited to try this place. I was disappointed with the food. It was not fresh at all especially the crawfish. The food has a cleaning chemical smell and it just wasn’t good. The sausage was the best part but how could you mess that up. Service was good with a nice dining area. It was small but had plenty of seating. The food was served fresh and hot large portion sizes. The seafood boils are nicely seasoned and served at a great price for how much you get. The fried platters are good, but could use more seasoning. Would recommend for anyone wanting to eat good seafood without all the hassle of going downtown dealing with the crowds. This restaurant was nice and clean and it had a wide variety of items to choose from. The customer service was great with recommending items that was sure to please our taste buds. Even though we did not get the highly recommended gumbo, the items we did choose were fantastic. Our food came out nice and hot and the portion sizes were great. First of all, the customer service the second I walked in was impeccable—made me want to spend my money there. I asked questions about certain items on the menu and both men at the counter were joyfully explaining & describing everything to me. I ended up getting the fried snow crab legs, fried shrimp, French fries, and I got a bag of corn, sausages, & potatoes on the side. Everything was delicious. The shrimps were my fave! And the sweet & sour dipping sauce or cocktail sauce that came with my meal was addicting. I’m not sure which it is, but I want that every time. Think I might go back again today for fried shrimp and French fries.

Had Seafood Lovers low country boil. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The Fried Oysters were spectacular. But the best part of our dinner was their Seafood Gumbo!! Meh... It's just okay. Running errands and got very hungry, so we tried this place. The Seafood Gumbo is not your "traditional" gumbo with the rich, dark roux. This has a clear broth; it's different, but tastes fine, & they definitely pack in the shrimp, chicken & sausage in there. The fried okra was okay, too. My friend and I wanted something new and Seafood Pot really was that spot. When we first step food into the establishment. I felt almost at home everyone greeted us with smiles and welcomes. Even with our face mask on as well. We have already been there twice within a week. Our first dish was the Gumbo and the speciality of the day which was a deliciously corn, potatoes, crawfish, polish sausage,shrimp and a side of Mozzarella sticks on the side.(basically your seafood pot👀😂). You know its goof when the potato is just melts in your mouth. I loved that the Gumbo had a bit of heat but not to much. The amount of rice ratio and broth was amazing. Especially with the shrimps and the sausage gave it that lousiana feeling of being in New Orleans. Keep up the good work 👍🏾❤

The best seafood we had in Charleston. Not only the seafood was delicious but the service was also the best. I will definitely co.e back again in my next trip to Charleston. I recommend you order seafood madness as it has all different kinds of everything. The sauce is so delicious.
