Wonderful place to take a coffee, cause the view is great... and the coffee too. The owners are very friendly. Unfortunately, we weren't able to rent a kayak there due to the weather conditions, but it gave us a reason to return to Montserrat.
My husband and I hired a kayak from Scuba Montserrat and had a great time. Andrew told us how to get to the bat caves and the beautiful secluded Rendezvous Beach, which are both worth a visit. He suggested we hire snorkelling gear, which was an excellent recommendation - we went snorkelling around the reef at Rendezvous Beach and saw a lot of colourful fish and beautiful coral. The kayak hire and snorkelling gear were reasonably priced, especially for the Caribbean. And the cafe is excellent - great coffee and pastries.
Andrew and Emmy are also doing great work for the environment in Montserrat, with their artificial reef project and recycling initiative - there are now several collection points on the island for recycling glass (and possibly other things - can't remember). They turn the glass into pretty looking crushed glass, which you can buy some of at their shop, along with some other cool recycled glass products and other bits and bobs.
Excellent operation, Shawn and Andrew were great. Nice reefs and pleasant diving. Small very functional boat, dives sites are close to departure point.
Everyone was thoughtful and wanted to make sure YOU had a good time. Stress free and easy going, I had a great time diving with these folks. The visibility, and plethora of corals made diving here great as well!
I did my first dives here just after I received my OWD certification. I highly recommend it. I did 5 different dives, very beautiful. The staff is very professional, friendly, I felt safe and stress free. I had an amazing time !
