Mistakenly put this on Westminster location, but went to Broomfield location tonight. Ashley was amazing! So helpful and her customer service was above and beyond. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Italian sausage (they even made it with spicy marinara upon request). Highly recommend- good food, service, and ambience. Our experience at Scalzotto was one to remember! First, our server, Ashley, was attentive, informative, and sweet. She shared with us some of her favorites on the menu -- we found that we had similar tastes and loved everything we sampled. We started off with some wine, a riesling from the Willamette Valley in Oregon and a Sauv Blanc from Italy. Both were highlights and complemented our meals nicely. For food, we teased our tastebuds with the Meatballs con Ricotta. The meatballs are everything you'd want in an Italian meatball -- herbaceous and succulent! For our entrée, we sampled the mushroom ravioli and the marsala chicken (with sides of sautéed broccolini and spaghetti with marinara). The mushroom rav was creamy and just the right amount of rich, brightened up nicely with a punch of parmigiano reggiano. The chicken marsala proved tender, moist, and flavorful. The sides were excellent as well. We even got to sample a cannoli - it was worth the calories. Lastly, the ambiance! My girlfriend and I absolutely loved our cozy date spot in one of Scalzotto's outdoor greenhouses. Not enough restaurants have genuinely warm, cozy, and COVID-safe outdoor dining options in the winter. Scalzotto nailed it with this one. You should go! My Daughter and my son-in-law and my granddaughter went to have dinner there last night in Broomfield. The food was absolutely delicious thanks for not skimping on the portions. Our server was Ashlee and she was amazing. Thanks for giving us a great restaurant to go to.. EXCELLENT food. Large portions of house-made pastas. Impeccable service. Only downside was it's stripmall location and Arctic blast every time the door opened. The staff graciously provided a space heater to mitigate the latter. I will definitely try to make my way back when I'm in town. We had a great time here earlier this fall and the pastas we ordered were amazing. Service from a young man was quick and friendly even though he appeared to be the only waiter tending to many tables. The space in the restaurant felt small but cozy and not cramped, and ambience was warm with dimmer lighting setting the mood towards a finer dining experience. They also had outside seating with what looked like private pandemic era domes/tents but we opted for inside seating on a cooler day. Food portions were plenty and prices were reasonable. This is a wonderful Italian option if you are in the area and want to step your dinner up to authentic fare. What a gem! My partner and I were in Broomfield for an event and we decided to stop here to eat beforehand. That was a great decision! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and everyone in the place seemed to just exude kindness and a community feel. It was someone's birthday, and several diners joined in to sing them happy birthday, and later, some made a point to wish that person happy birthday as they left the restaurant. The food was delicious and quite affordable. It's certainly tough to eat such nice food at those prices closer to or in Denver these days. We are already thinking we'd like to come back here even though it's about 30-40 minutes from our house. I could not wait to write this review because this restaurant was so lovely. The spaghetti and meatballs in a simple red sauce was good. The meatballs (x2) were tender and flavorful, but arrived on an enormous pile of pasta. I think three would have been a better complement to the dish. The profiteroles for desert were a delicious ending to the meal. Are dinner here. I got the fettuccine with shrimp and my friend got chicken piccata and we both very much enjoyed it. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the pasta was very filling. The bread and oil are very good, my only complaint is that the loaves are too small. The tiramisu was also good but could've used more chocolate sauce. The service was wonderful as well. I highly recommend this spot. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Amazing staff, ambience, decor and of course, delictable pasta! We had such a relaxed time. The waitstaff was superb, recommending wine that paired well with our dishes as well as personal taste. It is truly authentic Italian food, not Americanized. We ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Pear Ravioli. Amazing!! The puff pastries were excellent, not overly sweet but definitely worth sharing! Loved the cutout of Italy on the serving board as well. They have the knack for sophistication of using simplicity to their advantage, which only highlights their success! 10/10 Recommend! -Also, this was their new location of Melody and 120th ave. So we went to try this place based on a recommendation from a person we met at verizon. She told me this was by far the best place for italian food that she has tried in colorado but my was she wrong. This was by far the most aweful italian food i have tried. The calamari was ok it wasnt bad for sure and it was the best part of my meal since my lasagna tasted nothing like lasagna. The lasagna made by stouffers in the frozen food aisle tasted way better than theirs. Their lasagna tasted all mushy and like it was one whole piece with no layers of pasta just mushy meatballs is what it tasted like. The spaghetti was really weird with huge thick noodles and flavor was off. My 2 friends said theirs wasnt bad but had a stomach ache when they got home. The only reason i gave this place 2 stars instead of one is because for some reason my son said this place had the best chicken alfredo that he has tried and he actually ate all his food this time and that is rare so i give them that. I wouldnt go here again for sure and if i did it would be to order chicken alfredo to go for my son other than that the rest of the food was subpar.
