This was my first time trying chicken fried steak. I had the side of Brussels sprouts. The meal was great. My server Taylor was awesome. She knew I was a newbie to this meal and checked back several times to ensure I liked it. She deserves more than five stars. Finally made it out to Sawyer & Co. Love the southern-style diner feel. This southern-style diner offers dishes that are inspired by New Orleans. Ordered the Creole Shrimp and Grits and the Fried Chicken biscuit. Both dishes were very flavorful and authentic. Will be back for dinner soon. Our server was really sweet, attentive and had great recommendations. I went with the chicken biscuit and my friend had the biscuits and gravy with the cheesy grits! Delicious breakfast of Fried Chicken Biscuit with cheesy grits! Nice place, easy going atmosphere, I was here at noon on a Thursday and had no problem getting seated. But I bet you need reservations later in the day to not have a long wait. I will return here with friends snd family for sure. Oh yeah, Mason is an excellent bartender/server! Delicious Saturday morning brunch with my husband. We were seated on the patio where they provided a lot of shade and heaters for the cooler mornings. Friendly service and yummy food. The Cajun style dishes are very flavorful and authentic. I really enjoyed the creole shrimp and grits! Highly recommend! It was my first time in Austin, TX & I googled "brunch" & Sawyer & Co. popped up & seemed to have good reviews, so we decided to check it out! I had a classic egg benedict, but instead of English muffin, it was a biscuit. The biscuit was a little dry and not hot at all really, but the eggs were poached perfectly. The ham was a little dry as well. The side pancake was relatively small, but overall, the service and atmosphere were on point! My girlfriend got the veggie hash, which was amazing, and the sweet potatoes were cooked to perfection! She also ordered the Praline Bacon, which was absolutely amazing! perfectly sweet and savory! I ordered a strawberry vodka drink with Prosecco, and it was refreshing! I would recommend checking this place out if you haven't already!
