Satay has always been an amazing place for us! Unfortunately for the first time in years we had a bad experience with one of the waitresses "Penny"! She had a horrible snappy attitude and made a wonderful night turn disappointing! What was supposed to be a memorable experience she made it disappointing! We did tip her well but her attitude didn't deserve it! The smoke chicken was supposed to be a great experience, the people next to us had the full experience! I wish we had that waitress! We have always experienced great service and food all the other waitress have been amazing, except for Penny! You should lighten up Penny ! We still love Satay! ❤️
Went on the first night of “restaurant week” and literally couldn’t have been happier! $45 per person for a 3 hours meal. We paid roughly $150 for 2 - 3 course meals and 4 cocktails, plus we had to try the Thai peanut satay. Highly recommend the pisco sour drink, then we had a lamb meatloaf and chili red snapper which were amazing. We are only visiting, but this will be a must have every time we come! Authentic food that is handcrafted and made from scratch. This place takes fresh ingredients to a whole new level. The beautiful presentation of each meal and the bold flavors make this place worth the money spent. Staff is kind and thoroughly knowledgeable about each meal and beverage. The Thai peanut chicken appetizer and the tiger prawns were bold with diverse flavors. The grilled salmon and lamb were cooked to perfection with incredible homemade sauces. The bread was made from scratch and served with garlic butter. The drink was a huckleberry mojito that also had great flavor. Came here for the first time for my Mom’s birthday. It was a 5 star experience from the presentation and full breakdown of the menu to the artistic display of delicious foods. The price was very reasonable for the experience. Highly suggest! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes House Bread
The food tasted good although we were $250 without alcohol, with tip for 4 people and I expected a lot more. Don’t give me a tiny bowl with a 3 inch rim and call it a dinner plate. Also I’ve seen bigger desserts come from an easy bake oven. Not to mention the roof was leaking on me all night. They asked if I wanted to adjust my seat…
We dined at Satay to celebrate a belated birthday on Feb 2nd. Cody, our server, was friendly, efficient, and very helpful, as he made some great food and drink recommendations for us. The grilled salmon was amazing with great presentation. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. This is our third year celebrating a birthday at Satay, and we will 100% be back! This place is excellent on all the levels. The food is a real flavor experience, real foodie type place and real, normal, good size portions. The attentive service is fantastic and really take delight in describing the flavor profile, recommendations, and preparation of food. Drinks were on point, and I love the atmosphere of the wine bar section in particular, the patio section looks cool too. You can tell the chef and owner down to the staff take pride in this place. Everything is made from scratch, and very well done. This restaurant would hold up top choice in any city. Reasonably priced too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We will be back, without a doubt. The moment you step inside, you know this is no Applebee's or a mom & pop diner. From the decor to the plating to the presentation to the menu options, and probably the most important thing to restaurants, how is the food, Satay checks all the boxes. We had reservations at 7pm on a Friday night, a good decision based on how busy they were. Every dish was delicious. The house bread loaf swimming in butter was great. The mushroom risotto was awesome. The steak was perfect. It's a great place. It's not cheap but worth the price.

It’s not often that I wish I could give more then 5 stars but if I could, Satay Bistro would have definitely earned it. We went for my wife’s birthday dinner and were not disappointed. We were promptly seated outside and ordered the Ahi Tuna tartare and truffle fries to start and were served the house bread while we were waiting. It was fresh, fluffy and the butter served with it was absolutely incredible. I also ordered the Huckleberry Mojito. I’m not sure if it was a seasonal drink or not but it’s definitely worth the order. Light and refreshing with fresh berries inside. For our entrees we ordered the scallops and the bolognese and both were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. After dinner the wife ordered the bread pudding and like everything else was absolutely perfect. The service was prompt and the server was attentive without being overly intrusive. If I lived in Couer d’Alene I’d be a regular here but alas I’m only in town once a year. Absence makes the heart grow fonder…or so they say. The parking lot was completely full. We sat at the bar. It's what was open. They food was very good. I thought we would have a long wait for our food considering how busy they were, but we didn't. Great service, great food. I felt the drinks were a bit pricey. We had 4 Cadillac margaritas, which were very good. They came in 8 oz glasses. The cost was $64 for just the drinks. Other than that I would highly recommend them. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
