The food was good, but the rice and beans were cold when they brought it to us. My knife and fork were served over the food… believe it or not. I asked for wedge fries, got regular bag french fries… the place was really noisy and the waitresses were like having too much fun at the kitchen because we could hear the loud laughs where we were seated. Kind of “too informal” for our taste. We are used to relaxed eating and professional service.

A great off the beaten path restaurant. Some of the best mofongo I've ever eaten. The service is great and the servers are friendly. The food is amazing and the prices are easy on the wallet.

We got a couple of dishes and ended up with octopus salad, the pulpo tasted like ammonia and was going bad, we asked for them to take the dish back and simply just not charge us for the meal as we did not eat any of it. The owner instead argued with us that it was fine and he will charge us anyway. Multiple of us tried it and all of us are from island and know what pulpo taste like. There was no way it was fresh, we tried asking for the owner to see why he wouldn't give us the money back on that one dish, and he refused to talk to us and just sat there ignoring our group. He ened up charging for the cost of the salad and bread on the plate even though we didnt eat it either. He was stubborn and refuses to negotiate with us on what we consider a very simple matter. The servers were really nice and tried to help us the best they could.

I came here with my family for dinner. The food generally was pretty good but things went a little downhill with the octopus salad. We sent it back because the taste was off - as if the octopus was expired or something. A few of us sampled it just to be sure and it was definitely off. In any case, the restaurant owner chose to nickel and dime rather than just simply comp the meal. He was very dismissive and more interested in getting defensive than giving customer service.
We had a 200 dollar bill after all the plates and drinks. There was no reason to leave us with a sour taste after what was originally a pleasant dinner. The octopus salad at La Fiebre was not only edible but also very good.

We brought a party of 7 tonight and all ordered different plates including the pechuga relleno con trifongo, kids pepperoni pizza, mofongo con camarones, mero al orno, chillo ala criolla, octopus salad con mofongo and the mofongo con carne frita. We also ordered 2 rounds of house made sangrias for the table and a fruit juice for one. The octopus salad came out and tasted really bad. It tasted like a cleaning product and we immediately informed the server and asked her to remove it from the table in fear of getting a food borne illness. She took it back and later came out with the octopus removed from the bed of salad it originally came on along with the mofongo. We didn't want it and asked her to remove it from the tab and to make sure that they didn't sell any more of that since it's bad.
They didn't offer us anything else in replacement and still charged us for the plate we sent back. They also told us that the octopus was fine because they tried it themselves. 3 of us at the table tried the octopus and it was not fresh at all. We ate at a place called LA FIEBRE last night and ordered the octopus salad and it was amazing and tasted fresh.
They refused to remove the plate until we pressed them and then proceeded to tell us that they must charge us $8 for the bed of salad the octopus came on and the bread service. Both the salad and the bread were supposed to be included with the service. I asked to speak to the manager and they informed me that the owner was available. When I followed the server to speak to the owner, I overheard him say that he was too busy eating.
Don't waste your time coming here. You might get sick because the owner cares more about money than service.

The food was good but it arrived cold, had to eat quickly since the rice and beans were tepid and getting cold quickly. Would have enjoyed more if this were not the case.
