Even though the days and hours are limited, Santos is a must stop if you’re in the El Combate area. Food was a step above the more popular Annie’s nearby. The fried chicken and fried fish were both standouts. The large sampler platter will feed an army for $30. What made it extra special was the top notch service from everyone on staff. This place is not a high class place but the atmosphere. And the food, the service is 20 out of 10 stars ,It is unbelievable every time I come here. Never have a dull moment. Corn fritters were some of the best I’ve ever had. Got grilled chicken and it was prepared excellent. Toastones were likely frozen then prepared. Only negative.

Best meal in Combate- the mixed seafood salad was delicious -pricey though-worth the splurge- $25- our waiter was super helpful and friendly- so sweet I didn’t get his name but he was originally from the Chiapas area of Mexico- anyway .....the criollo sauce for the mofongo was fresh and delicious!
