Steamed mandoo were our favorite, the sauce was a bit light, but was cooked perfectly for a wrapping with great chew. Bulgogi (unpictured) a bit on the sweeter side, and bang bang chicken was a tad dry but we still enjoyed both, the Beef was of nice quality. Mackerel had a good flavor as well. San maru is one of the few authentic Korean places available in the CU area. I tried multiple dishes and they were all good. The food does take longer to be served due to the small kitchen size. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
We’ve been here twice now, once about 8 months ago and again recently. Both times the food has tasted great; it’s the best Korean food around. However both times, for whatever reasons, our order has been forgotten. The first time 8 months ago we waited about 40 minutes before the host/server came to us to remind him our order and he said the order got lost. I’ve worked in restaurants, I get it, things happen. However today on our second time there we received part of our order and part of it (the pork / vegetable platter) was forgotten or there was some kind of mistake. They did apologize and the food tasted great. Fortunately we had our other food (fried chicken bowl for our kid and my wife’s cold noodle soup) so it wasn’t a major issue. Today they provided us a sweet Korean rice dessert drink which I found very tasty. All of this raises the question to why does this seem to be a persistent issue? Or am I just unlucky? Lol. I get that mistakes happen, but if it’s persistent issue there need to be some evaluation or changes. Regardless, the food is very good and we might give it another go. Cozy joint tucked a bit out of the way with some very good Korean food. This place is run by some very kind people. I loved the seolleong tang, very rich and fragrant and served nice and hot. The banchan were also very good, especially the radish kimchi. I'm glad I ordered the kimchi fried rice to-go to snack on later; just delicious. Hope to stop by again another time I'm in town to try their bingsoo. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Seolleong-Tang
Our first time dining in a strictly Korean venue restaurant... And it was wonderful and the food was outstanding!!! The staff was great and the (owner/manager??) was delightful to talk to about the menu items and how they were prepared... She even suggested a dessert (a type of milk/water block shaved ice...) that resembles NOTHING like we have ever had before, very ornate, lite tasting, with fresh fruit and different colored sauces... Definitely a place to bring family and friends to and we will be back many times to come!! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Went for lunch for the first time the other day and had the warmest welcome from the owner. She explained some of the dishes and was refreshingly friendly. It got a bit busy so I didn’t get the fastest service but that is okay. You can tell these ladies work incredibly hard and the proof is directly in the food. The Spicy Pork Bento box was phenomenal. I love all the sides included and the flavor of the pork. Can’t wait to be back again! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae and it was so delicious; it definitely hit the spot on a cold February day. The service was quick and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely make this a go-to spot for lunch! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

You don't have to make traditional dishes but you need to stay with authentic flavors. Food just okay here but excellent services though. They tried so hard to make a decent Korean food in this town but not yet. Every dishes so light on seasoning. Side dishes and Kimchee so lack of flavor. Kimchee stew was mild of flavor. Spicy cold buckwheat noodles have weird flavor. Cooked mackerel just good seasoning. Bingsoo here just like baby food.
Green tea bingsu is the best! I lover the red bean paste with the matcha powder, of course the condense milk makes it wonderful. ————————————————— The food quality is going down drastically. My friend pay $16+ for only a piece of fish without the egg dish. The topokki is not worth at all. It only comes with rice cake with three pieces of fish cake and a few slice of cabbages I can barely seen. The food is so overpriced. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

As a Korean, I can confidently say that the taste of food here is truly authentic. I tried Seolleong-tang & Sikhye. The soup tasted fantastic with a generous portion of beef. The prices are reasonable. The staff was kind enough to refill the side dish and the restaurant is clean. If living at UC, this restaurant will be my top go-to place. BTW, when I was served Sikhye, I didn't initially recognize what it was. I thought it was one of the sauces for the soup ;-) The cute container for Sikhye caught my eye, it's sweet, try it.
