We came here for my mother in laws Birthday and it was amazing! All the food was great. Highly recommend and we will be back. Try the veal with fried eggplant or the spiedini D'Angelo. Both amazing! Preface: For those wanting a loud, Italian style family experience, this appears to be a great place! For those wanting a more intimate experience, read on.... Reservation made Thursday afternoon for 7:30 Friday for two. Was told schedule was pretty open for the evening, setting a bit of early expectation. Arrived 7:15 to a warm and inviting environment and told table would be ready closer to 7:30. Sat at the bar and received great service and drinks. Seated around 7:40 where the early vibe changed completely. While service was still good, we were seated in the back section right by the kitchen door. The back section of the restaurant is also an area where larger parties are seated and can be extremely loud because people are yelling over one another. Sitting with my husband, I measured the decibels and it was the level of subway train up to nightclub level of noise. We had to raise our voices significantly to speak to each other. Not really a romantic experience. While we have been here multiple times and pleased with the service and food, this one was unfortunate not only due to the noise level, but also because the food was over cooked (chicken spedini & bistecca modiga). *I'm blaming the over cooked food on the volume of customers.* My recommendation for enjoying a romantic experience and higher quality food at Salvatore's is to reserve when larger groups are less likely, thus food quality improves. If on weekends, request a table in the mid-section where noise will be less likely to disrupt your experience. This place never disappoints. Food stands alone on merit. Love the staff so welcoming. Offered to turn down music and tv. Yep, i have become old. They didn't make me feel bad about it. To preface, Salvatore's is part of the Garozzo's family. It used to be called Garozzo's Due until the early 2000's. You'll see 'Sam' (Salvatore) the owner seating people and helping out! It's so nice to see a 'hands-on' owner. This has always been a family operated restaurant. Absolutely outstanding experience here this evening about 4pm. We ordered the Sicilian stuffed Artichoke for an appetizer, and it did not disappoint. The freshly squeezed lemon on top really sent this dish over the top! Our server was very attentive and took the artichoke back after we had eaten the top and broke the rest down for us and quartered the heart. We could tell there was a bit more stuff on it as well. Our server also paid close attention to when we nearly finished our courses to put the order in for the next course. She was truly fabulous. As soon as we finished our appetizer, she was there with our salads and just as we were finished with those she brought our entrées. It was so nice not having all our food crammed at us before we were ready for it. She kept the bread, tea, and water filled without us having to ask. She took things to the next level and cleared our dishes, and wiped off our table off in between courses! Moving on, we ordered the Samantha Spiedini chicken pasta dish (my fav) and grilled chicken alfredo for our entrees. We probably won't get the grilled chicken Alfredo again as we love the char on the Spedini better, but the alfredo was on point. We took home at least half our entrees so we could share the lemon cream cake for dessert. It's so light and refreshing. It was an excellent choice to end this meal. This is a tough review to give because I wanted it to be amazing, and I love giving 5 🌟 to "Mom and Pop" restaurants. Unfortunately, I feel it didn't live up to the 4.6 rating (at the time of this review). You walk into a small entry way that seems like it should be a waiting area; however, there were tables there, so waiting to be seated was kind of awkward. The amount of time standing waiting to be acknowledged was also awkward, to the point we were about to leave when the gentleman came to seat us. I was digging the atmosphere. It's dark, almost speakeasy-esque, with Sinatra playing, candles on the table, etc. We were quickly given bread and water by a very polite gentleman, and our server was quickly behind him to follow up with our wine requests. Menu pricing was very good. I ordered the Pollo Cognac with a side of penne and red sauce. My wife got the cheese ravioli with the red sauce. We both got Ceasar salads. The salads were good, but it kind of fell off from there. When dinner was served, we asked for parmesean and was directed to the kraft grated cheese in the Pizza Hut style shaker on the table. No fresh grated, which seemed odd for what was expected to be a bit upscale and authentic. My Pollo cognac was ok. I know the menu said a hint of sweet, but the sweet garlic sauce was more sweet than garlic and was more reminiscent of a sweet queso. My side of pasta and red sauce was very bland. The sauce tasted straight from a can, and the pasta didn't seem freshly cooked. My wife's raviolli were for sure boiled from frozen. They looked like what you would get in a bag at the store and was also tossed in the same flavorless sauce. Overall, the food was cafeteria quality, so I would not go back. I'm sorry. I wanted to like it. The server was good, but the food just wasn't up to expectations. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We've been here many times 1 of our truly favorite places to eat.. Everything was great from start to finish. The wait staff could not have been better including our waiter who took care of us well. They're famous for Chicken Soedini and was excellent. We both had the D'Angelo but there are plenty of choices. Italian butter as a starter was very good with there sliced bread. Spumoni was the perfect ending. We will always come back here Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Insalata Caesar
My fiancé and I have been here a couple times and again we are not disappointed. The atmosphere and food were amazing and if you come to Salvatore’s you will NOT be disappointed. Call ahead for reservations would be my advice because they are a popular place. Our waiter was very attentive without being overly attentive. Great service great food!! Next date night call ahead and , enjoy!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Tour of Italy

This is like a little hidden gem. Food was delicious. My first time trying fried calamari. I’d love to try this place again. Very authentic Italian food. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
On a little adventure for an item for our new porch led us to Blue Springs, MO area.  My wife located this Italian restaurant and decided to give it a try.  A quaint no frills restaurant from the outside, warm and inviting on the inside.  Being early in the week, it wasn't busy and we were seated immediately.  We ordered the Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, our only issue, there were only five succulent mushrooms in a rich cheese sauce.  I guess we needed room for the meal.  :-) We shared an order of Scampi Evola with a side order of Alfredo Linguine and a Caeser salad. Everything was absolutely delicious, the croutons were light in the salad (we felt the salad could have been cooler) but it was good.  It was clear to us the meal was cooked with Love.  Our server, Elizabeth was great, very knowledgeable and courteous.  After the meal, the manager stopped by, we did not get her name (or I forgot it), she explained the restaurant had been owned by the same Italian restaurant (Garazzos) that had closed in Wichita, KS during Covid.  An absolute favorite of my wife when she lived there.  We ordered the Tiramisu to go, they wrapped it up for our long drive back home.  It was a delicate creamy, chocolate and coffee piece of heaven. We will have to do a repeat visit. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great place for dinner! The wife and I stopped for our 10th anniversary having never been but always driving by. The maitre di sala greeted us with a warm, friendly smile and were seated right away with a pleasant candle lit table for two. The young man who brought water and bread while we decided on our meals was very polite. Our server, Eden greeted us and assisted with menu items. We had shrimp fettuccine alfio and three way pasta with the meatball. Our salads were promptly served and a refill of bread. Perfect timing, Eden severed our meal and EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! Fresh and tasty, the pasta was fantastico! Our entire visit was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves, the service was top notch and everyone we met was very polite. There was a birthday person, which they sang happy birthday in Italian (no obnoxious show or non sense, very classy and professional). Yes, we'll return to Salvatore's, sorry we hadn't tried them sooner. Tip: If you order the Three Way Pasta, it is a huge serving, I knew this and planned to have the take home for lunch the next day, however this serving was healthy enough it provided dinner for two the next day. Pictured is the Three Way Pasta, you don't see the ravioli and mostaccioli under the mound of spaghetti but it's there, moved it around slightly for the photo, delicious and very filling...you've been warned. Eden, thank you for the prompt, friendly and personal service we received, we appreciate you! Finche' non ti rivedremo Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
