Let me start by saying I didn’t like banana in any other form. I don’t like it in smoothies, I don’t like it as cookies, even more so, I didn’t like it as a loaf! So when salt & lime recommended that I try their banana bread I was very much resistant but my kid likes it so I got one.
When I received the package I cut a slice for my son and took a bite and everything went uphill from there. I have to admit, when I first saw this loaf, I was a little skeptical. I mean, how good could a banana bread really be, it just banana flavoured cake right? Wrong! As soon as I took that first bite, I was hooked. It was like a party in my mouth, and everyone was invited. The sweetness of the bananas, the warmth of the spices, the richness of the butter - it was like all my taste buds were doing a viral tik tok dance challenge.
And now, here I am, staring at this half-eaten loaf and trying to decide if I should eat the rest or frame it and put it on my wall. Because let's be real, this banana bread is a work of art. It's the kind of bread that makes you want to write poetry and sing love songs. It's the kind of bread that you dream about at night and wake up craving in the morning.
So, if you're lucky enough to come across this banana bread, don't hesitate - just go for it. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
I'm a pastry junkie. I love cakes, breads and biscuits and I enjoy variety. This I am put off easily by poor baking, from the look to the taste to the smell. And as always packaging goes a long way to authenticate flavour and even enhance it. We eat first with our eyes before anything.
This banana bread is the best I've eaten, and I had a variety believe me from the plain to the ones with chocolate chips, dried fruit, dates or other imaginable filling. This was moist yet still maintained its shape after slicing. It was rich but not greasy. It didn't smell cloyingly of milk or other ingredient. It looked, smelled and tasted like a proper banana bread should. Looks like a dense rich loaf, smells like sitting on a fresh lawn in summer and tastes like a slice of heaven.
I loved the paper bag it came in with the simple salt and lime on it! (Love the name!) My only criticism is the plastic wrapping of the loaf, I wish you wrapped it in grease proof paper, monogrammed with your name. While and lime green 💚💚💚....hahaha getting ahead of myself.

Nice cake, received mine b4 Christmas in Dublin, we had it for dessert on Christmas day, lovely nd moist to perfection. Loved it will recommend it to everyone to go salt nd lime bakery
Salt and lime bakery has absolutely the best chocolate cake I have ever had. That’s coming from me that doesn’t like chocolate cake. I absolutely love this one. And the oat meal cookie is so delicious and rich in Flavour. Thinking about it now my taste buds are asking for some
First of all, I love the fact that salt and lime is a minimalist bakery, so you’re not overwhelmed by choices, whatever you decide to get, you can be rest assured that it will be made to perfection .
I ordered the traditional fruit cake and asked for it to be delivered to the US before Christmas Day and they went over and above to make this happen.
Sadly, the cakes didn’t make it to Christmas dinner because we ate it all as soon as we received it, my son described it as “having a party in your mouth”!
Salt & Lime is an amazing bakery. Top quality baked goods that are so moist yet so firm… it’s truly a delight eating their products.
This fruit cake was the best fruit cake of my life. I’ve never ever enjoyed fruit cake before now. The experience really showed me to give things a chance. Now I’m hooked to Salt & Lime.
I ordered the fruit cake from salt and lime Bakery, got 5 of it. Shared it with my friends and kept 2 for myself. Omg everyone couldn’t have enough, the richness and texture of the cake was insane, it was amazing. All my friends and their families who had some of it kept going on and on about how amazing the cake tasted. I super recommend salt and lime, they are by far the best bakery in ABJ and nobody even comes close.
I was gifted one traditional fruit cake from salt and lime bakery and after tasting it, I ordered for 5 more to be shared among my friends and family.
It’s sweet due to the glazed fruits, currants and raisins but not sickeningly sweet, very moist and delicious! If you’re a fruit cake fan ( or not) you will enjoy the taste of this cake. I requested for variations eg more/less raisins or high/ low alcohol for the cakes I ordered and my requests were met.
This will be a staple item at my house during the holiday season henceforth.
