The place is exclusive and amazing. It has few tables, the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delightful and the portions very filling. The beach front is breathtaking. A five star experience! This is the place to be.

While the food is very tasty and setting is fantastic, the menu planning lacks common sense. It’s a short menu with over 50% of the dishes containing crab- we booked over a month in advance as most people have to during the Christmas period, however on ordering we’re told the kitchen had run out of crab. This is the second consecutive time the same thing has happened. Their footfall is high enough to have learnt this by now, and with the prices they charge you expect that their chef would put more attention to detail to the planning and execution of their product. They were able to squeeze me in for an early dinner. The place has a great view, and the staff were friendly and professional. However, the food didn't meet my expectations at all. The calamari was slightly burnt and not crispy. The coconut rice was very bland. However, I enjoyed the pre-dinner snack (bruschetta). Had the grilled fish with tomato and mango salad. Fish was grilled just right. The pairing with mango seemed odd but it was perfect. The dessert (brownie with ice cream) was good, but the main meal was better. The views of the beach from the restaurant were amazing, that area of the beach is one of better spots along the coast line. Beautiful! Excellent food combined with good service and views make this restaurant a must visit in south coast of Mombasa. One important note: you have to have a reservation to go in no matter the time of the day.

We had the beat meal of our stay in Diani. A warm welcome from the staff as we arrived without a reservation. It might be advisable to book ahead. We had a couple of aperitif cocktails which were accompanied by a small plate of samosas and bruschette. The starters of coconut prawns and calamari were both delicious. We stuck with seafood for the mains, enjoying the crab au gratin and the zanzibar snapper. Shared a slice of Diani lime pie and went home happy. Thanks for a great evening, Sails Team. A wonderful place for a quite romantic dinner by the seaside. The food was simply delicious and such good portions. Topped with great service and desserts.... especially the chocolate mousse. Too good!
