The fresh pita bread alone will make you come back! But everything I've tried here has not disappointed me! Soft Cooked Egg Hummus has a nice spice to it but packed full of flavor, the Harvest Dreams cocktail transports you back to a warm, cozy cabin in the fall 🍁 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Good food but overhyped, overpriced, and undersized. I ordered a tabbouleh, duck matza ball, and salmon crudo. They were all petite and the matzo ball had one ball and a single shred of duck meat. It was expensive enough that I should've been content, but I left still hungry. Stylistically, the tabboulleh was unrecognizable since they use whole parsley without finely chopping it. Safta - aka grandma’s house - is a high end version of dining in your grandmother’s home with delicious recipes and endless/replenishing pita bread just like grandma never lets your plate go empty. I’ve done date nights, birthday celebrations, and invited out of town friends to Safta, and it has always impressed. It’s fun to do a tapas style sharing of multiple plates/spreads. Standout/WOW items - foraged mushroom hummus, muhamarra, their pita bread 🤤, whipped feta, falafel, duck matzo ball soup, and hanger steak. FULL DISCLOSURE: Less excited about the fattoush salad (nothing special imo) and the crispy eggplant (was over salted and with too thick of a layer of herbed goat cheese when I had it). This is the best restaurant in Denver! The brunch menu is phenominal. The food is so amazing I bought Alon Shaya’s cookbook so I could try to duplicate the amazing cooking at home. We had a lovely experience celebrating my mothers birthday with the rest of our family. Our server Duncan was knowledgeable, charismatic and attentive! All of the drinks were delicious and they have a lot of non-alcoholic options as well as well crafted cocktails. The menu is divided into two sections - the left half is mostly dips, hummus and pairings to go with their lovely pita bread. All the dips we tried were very good and matched well with the bread. A shoutout to the whipped feta - that was delicious. The other half of the menu is mains including chicken, steak, salmon, lamb shank and falafel. Minor criticisms: the mains were tasty but I will say the portions are somewhat small for sharing. The timing on some of the dishes was off and some were hot and some were not totally the correct temperature. The steak was cooked medium rare but also came out cool and needed a bit of salt. The prices are also up there! They did give us a lovely piece of cake 🎉 for our birthday celebration. Overall the positives outweigh any downsides and I do recommended this restaurant!
