Just moved into town recently and wanted to try this place. I ordered take out for a BBQ pizza and it was delicious. The restaurant was very busy at the time but the staff was working very hard and it didn't bother me waiting 25 minutes for my food. Definitely coming back. I ordered a meatball sub. I waited almost an hour for it. They show up and hand me a pizza box!? What's this? Your meatball pizza. What I ordered a meatball sub! Now I have to wait another half hour or so to get my food again. Last time I ordered a cheese burger that comes with a salad. Never got my salad. I'll think twice before I call to get more food from this place. Both times I've had problems with getting what I ordered. I’ve ordered from Saco House for 15 years. One of my favorite places. I ordered a pizza tonight and had it delivered. There was barely any sauce on it! Nothing like it normally is. Their food is good, but their service and delivery sucks. Always takes an hour for delivery and do not follow instructions. After waiting for hour and half was told the online order did not go thru even though I got a confirmation number. He said will put a rush on it, again I gave delivery instructions. Another hour went by and still No food. Was told it's out and just wait. 20 min later it shows up stone cold Food: 4 Service: 2

I frequent Saco house of pizza because I love the taste of their pizzas. Even the Tuesday special of a small plain cheese pizza for $3.99 is delicious! I go on any given day of the week, and was never disappointed. I have tried other menu items, and am usually satisfied. Every once in a great while, I have run across a slight issue, but folks, we all have some tough days, and that goes for everyone, so i wont let one negative experience cloud my judgement. The food is always fresh, the service is pleasant and the prices are comparable to local dining. My only complaint is whoever takes the orders gets it wrong on several occasions. I have never complained, because it's usually just forgetting one topping. Now, I just have them repeat my order to be sure nothing was forgotten. All in all, thumbs up Saco house of pizza! I placed my order online for (as I usually do) for 4 items, at 6:20pm. At 7pm I called to check on it, as it doesn’t usually take that long (even in mid summer). I was told they’re busy and doing everything they can, to which I politely responded with an “ok, thank you. Then I called back at 7:50 and was told that it’s on its way, so once again I politely responded with a thank you. The driver finally arrived at 8:10pm with my order. Now I can honestly say that I have ordered from Saco House plenty of times on the past couple of years and even in the height of the tourist season it’s never taken them an hour and 50 minutes to make and deliver my order. I don’t know what the hell happened but it is completely unacceptable and I really would’ve appreciated an apologetic gesture of some sort. Unfortunately, this will be our last time ordering from Saco House. Waiting 2 hours for 4 items to the tune of $70, is not ok. Do not order the sausage sub! I'm Italian and that was the most disgusting thing I ever ate there! Don't get me wrong! I love Saco house! I took three bites and all I could taste was cheese and onion and mushrooms they said it was spicy sausage! Couldn't taste any sausage!! Omgoodness. Went in yesterday for lunch while visiting from out of state. My husband and I each had a calzone. My husband, who is a very picky eater, says they have one of the best meat ones he's ever had. My veggie calzone couldn't have been more delicious. I even ate my second hf this a.m. for bf when it was cold, but still delicious! Will always stop there for a meal when going through their quaint little town.
