Wow the goat cheese honey appetizer was flavorful. The shrimp and grits was one of the best I've ever had. It was quite loud in the restaurant, we were there at 5:30. Great brunch this morning at Rye in Leawood, KS. The food was outstanding and it was a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Abby C was our server today, and she was amazing. The restaurant was crowded and I'm certain that she had other tables, but she made sure that we felt like her only table. She was personable, informative, and patient with us and hopefully her manager reads this, because she's absolutely a keeper! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We didn't feel it lived up to the hype. I wouldn't say our server was rude but didn't feel overly welcoming and happy to serve us either. The food was okay, we expected more, I guess. Also, in our reservation we put that it was for our anniversary and while I don't expect a free dessert or anything it would have been nice for it to have been acknowledged. Beautiful environment. Amazing service. I had the house salad, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the chocolate Mokan pie. The chicken was crispy on the outside with a juicy center. It had a nice flavor. The mashed potatoes were very thin. The Chocolate Mokan pie had more nuts than anything. Our server was outstanding and made our large group very comfortable.
