All the food and drinks were delicious, including the oscar style topped filet, blue cheese topped petite filet w/ shrimp. The shrimp on top of two petite filets was overdone and like rubber. The food is very good...if you compare it to the average restaurant. But this is not the average restaurant. It is supposed to be the best and that is what you pay for. The steaks were very good...so that is the most important thing. But I have had comparable steaks elsewhere for a lot less. The Caesar Salad was just good. The asparagus I got was inedible, I sent it back. If this was the first time I was underwhelmed at the Ruth's Chris experience I would dismiss it, but I'm seeing a pattern of declining quality. It is not likely we will go back any time soon. There has to be a place in that price range that delivers quality. Great Atmosphere. Family friendly. Service and staff were great. Steak ordered medium well. Came well done but not to much to complain about. Side dishes definitely sharable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I try to go to Ruth's Chris wherever I travel. I expect the consistency and service they're known for. Being in a casino I'm sure they see a wide range of customers. Food was tasty, Oysters were amazing, steak was over cooked. Bartenders were ok, efficient, but not top notch. You dont make an old fashioned w cherries you'd make a Shirley temple w, and you definitely dont muddle them w the stems! Both bartenders would leave the bar at the same time. Never asked If my steak was cooked properly. Like I said consistency is about the little things. The steak wasn't what I'm use to. Quality has definitely gone down hill. Loaded with fat. Now I can understand some fat for flavoring, but this wasn't acceptable. Same steak just on two plates. Moved the fatty steak to a new plate just to cut Into more fat. Let's bring back the quality of steak that Ruth Chris is known for. And wasn't offered any bread and butter, so I guess their cutting down on that also. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Steaks were not great. No better than Longhorn but nearly twice the price. Scalloped potatoes were so rich we couldn't eat more than three small bites. Sauteed spinach was, well, sauteed spinach. Service was professional, but overly rehearsed and felt detached and a bit cold. Coffee had been sitting too long. Restaurants this expensive should serve from a fresh pot at all times. Complimentary Happy Anniversary dessert was a nice touch, however. Wouldn't go back except with a gift certificate. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
Steak was great, although a little expensive. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was geared more towards a romantic setting, I brought my team from work and we seemed exceptionally loud considering the ambiance. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Price per value has declined. Don't know who decided that a 16 oz $57 New York strip should be put on the same size plate as a baked potato. There wasn't enough room to even cut the steak, let alone enjoy it. You are a steak place for God's sakes. Celebrate it by spending some of that money on new plates! The French onion soup was too sweet and the size of salmon (extra $12) on the ceasar salad was deplorable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely the worst experience! This was not our first visit but definitely our last. Despite making a reservation, we were shoved into a dark corner in the bar area directly across from a kitchen door. Uncomfortable from the start. Not a busy night, wait staff no where to be found...waited forever. Quickly dismissed because we did not order alcohol and never offered a refill on our beverages. At this point, I wanted to leave. My husband insisted we stay and enjoy. We place our orders. 20 minutes later husband is told they are sold out of his sides choices. They have one option available. He agrees to try it because at this point, he regrets not leaving when I suggested. Undercooked burgers ( I specifically asked for well-done sliders) over microwaved potatoes as a last-minute side for my husband, rubbery steak, it was all disgusting! Quality is gone. Service is a joke. The most JUDGEMENTAL establishment! I brought the sliders home only so I could take a picture and reach out to management the next day. I received an email response stating, "That never happens." No accountability accepted on their part. It made the point clear that I do not matter to them as a customer! My first visit to this location, tucked in the Mohegan Sun Casino, Ruth's Chris never fails to impress. The NY Strip, was cooked to Medium Rare perfection, it was the best cut I've had in years. I would have preferred the asparagus to be a little more grilled, but it is insignificant considering the perfect steak on my plate.... Every bite was a Foodgasm...
