I'm really happy to have this place close to home. Delicious bagels and top notch cream cheese options. I've ordered pick up before for my team breakfast and it's always a hit. Great savory/sweet options and reasonable prices. Went for coffee and bagels before our beach day. The almond joy latte was divine. Nothing beats Ruby's bagels for breakfast while watching the waves. Friendly service and they were so sweet to our indecisive 4 year old. Fun station theme and tables outside for patrons. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I are from the Deep South where bagels aren’t a thing. We were only in town for a few days and had this 2 mornings in a row! The food was delicious, the coffee was amazing and the staffs hospitality was exceptional. If we’re ever in town again we’ll definitely be back! Pictured is my sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The second morning I went with one of the staff’s recommendations and it was fabulous! Yum!! Loved the bagel! Got a cheesy bagel with cheddar jalapeno cream cheese which was delicious! Iced coffee wasn't anything to write home about. We got to go as the shop was a little crammed. Between the table spacing and people ordering it felt a little crammed. Not a huge deal but I think maybe less tables in there may be the move. Overall its a great spot to grab your morning bagel! First, let me say that this review of Ruby’s Bagels is L-O-N-G overdue. Not long after they opened, but for at least six months now, my wife and I have been patronizing the Ruby’s Bagels near the intersection of Montague Ave. and Dorchester Rd. Since I am the “early-riser” in our marriage, I am the one tasked with the “bagel runs” whenever we are in North Charleston. Ruby’s Bagels is located only about a mile from my Dad’s house, which makes it a convenient & quick spot to pick-up something for breakfast, as opposed to picking something up from a traditional breakfast restaurant that always ends up being cold by the time I get back to the house. As a walk-in customer, I am usually in-and-out within minutes. My wife’s go-to bagel is Blueberry, while I have tried the French Toast and Cinnamon Crunch bagels; both good, but with a slight edge to the Cinnamon Crunch. My last trip to Ruby’s I opted for the Cinnamon Raisin bagel, and I would have to say this is my new favorite. Like the website says – a chewy center and crunchy exterior . . . Delicious! I have been consistently impressed with the level of service and the friendliness of all the staff of Ruby’s Bagels, but I have to single-out Sam Spence for making sure I leave a happy customer with a bag full o’ bagels! I grew-up in North Charleston but left when I joined the U. S. Air Force right after graduating from high school (Garrett, if you gotta know). Over the past 40-plus years, as I have returned to North Charleston to visit my Dad, I have seen many changes in North Charleston (some good and some bad). I see the decision by Ruby’s Bagels to locate in North Charleston as an incredibly positive sign of their faith in the community. During our monthly trips to the Lowcountry, I never fail to patronize Ruby’s Bagels, and I sincerely hope that locals will embrace this small business. Definitely go for the bagels, but don’t be surprised if you make a new friend behind the counter! Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My first time experience was great. Walked in and the place was packed and the line was almost out the door. Guy at the register had a great attitude. He made some small talk while still keeping the order process short and sweet. Bumped up my tip amount when he asked how our morning was so far. There was a hickup with our order in the kitchen which caused us to wait a little longer than expected. They called my name and dropped our bagels off at our table and told us they had refunded our order. Both bagels were excellent imho. The wait to order and to receive your order were both reasonable given how busy it was. A+ all around. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ran here because of the reviews. I had the typical everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. It was good but honestly it tasted how a bagel is supposed to 🤷🏾‍♀️. There was nothing extraordinary about it. It is a bagel.
Updated 2/3/24. I gave you 3 chances Ruby's. THREE. Today was a simple everything bagel, not toasted with butter. Which they charge 75 cents for butter. Here's the pic of my bagel, ZERO butter on the 2 middle pieces, and half a spit of butter on the other 2 pieces. 75 CENTS. TERRIBLE. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK OR RECOMMENDING ANYMORE. Well, today I went to get a bacon, egg & cheese. Last time it was good, but still have issues with price. TODAY, I didn't get cheese, I asked for crispy bacon, not crumbles, it was terrible!! Incredible!!! I’ve been so excited to try Rubys bagels…. Amazing amazing amazing! Staff was super nice and helpful. I made my own breakfast sandwich with eggs and veggies. It was seriously SO delicious!!!
Came in for a late breakfast today! I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on the everything bagel and it was the best everything bagel I’ve ever had! So flavorful and great texture! I will definitely be adding this place to my weekly routine next time I’ll pick up some bagels to take home with their specialty cream cheese!

I’ve been here several times as I live close by and it’s the only decent place to get a quick breakfast. The prices are way too high for what you get. I don’t understand the 2 eggs on the bagel sandwich it’s over kill and I’d rather have more meat. Coffee drinks are okay. Nothing outstanding. The only issue with customer service is the man who is always there taking orders. He just seems like he doesn’t want to be there and gives off unfriendly vibes. Weird set up with the tables and the ordering line. There’s no where to stand after you order and it’s just an awkward shuffle til they call your name. Maybe take out some tables behind the register? The last time I ordered was this week. I got a BEC bagel with extra bacon and was told American is the default cheese but I got Swiss on mine which I didn’t ask for and I hate the taste of Swiss so I picked off the bacon and threw it out. Waste of money and for that price you should be able to get the orders right and maybe a smile from the workers.
