All of the food was delicious and the plates were huge for the price. Margaritas were a perfect blend of flavor and liquor. The atmosphere is fun. Restaurant was super clean. We were a party of eight (6 adults, 2 kids) on a Friday night. Made reservations on the Monday before, glad I did. Ruben's was jumping busy. As busy as Ruben's was, we were still attended to with great customer service. The food was great. The chorizo queso dip is addictive. Highly recommend this restaurant. I freaking love thus place. We live nearby, I am a frequent flier to Mexico, and I grew up in a latino community in Cali. I could eat Mexican food at every meal. The owner is fantastic, as is his staff. The food, drinks, chips and salsa- all-on point. I've been here 10 times, never realized they had hard shell tacos. Best yet, they have the old school, light-fry on demand hard shell tacos. Had dinner, stayed for the atmosphere. Get in here!!!

These vegetarian fajitas were the best I’ve ever had. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. The service was great, everyone was so nice and genuinely seemed like they were happy to work there and serve me. The margaritas are fantastic as well. They gave me homemade hot sauce, which I enjoyed as well. I will definitely be making the trip back here 🌶️ 🌮 💃🏼 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I absolutely love good Mexican food. This is amazing Mexican food. We had the chorizo queso and fajita steak nachos.& wow!! it takes a lot to impress me and this place truly impressed me. The service from the minute we walked in the door to when we left, everything was amazing! We even got to meet the owner as we left. It is so awesome to meet somebody that is so proud of the amazing food that they bring to the table. I will definitely come back here whenever I am in town. Do not miss out on this gem of a place!!! Also, their margaritas are outstanding!

Food was really amazing! My only complaint is the slow service and our food came really staggered. Only half the table had their food and the remaining three in the party all got their food one at time spread out. Some of the party was done eating when the last plate came out. Also, fairly expensive for tacos, burritos and especially the drinks. $15 each for the prickly drink. We’ll be back but prefer Palominos simply for price and service. It's nice to find a local, family run restaurant that doesn't break the bank. Ruben's has a nice atmosphere and good food in generous portions. The owner came over to chat with us. My only quibble is that the Diablo sauce is spicy but lacks flavor. I took my leftover home and added some New Mexico red chile powder, which made it just right.

The service was great but the food was average. 1st the Hostess had a welcoming smile and was very nice. 2nd our server Allen was Awsome and very attentive and was great at checking on us. The food on the other hand was average and not very flavorful and bland. I orderd nachos with ground beef and it had about 15 chips and a cup of ground beef $ 7.00 for cheese and add $ 3.00 for beef was not filling and bland. The 2 Ala cart hard shell tacos were ok but greasey ( had to add salsa for taste) for $ 6.00 my wife ordered the trio enchiladas and she said they warm not hot and also bland for $ 18.00. I only ate half of the Nachos but both tacos and my wife took here home and reheated and finished the rest. So for $ 49.00 w/tip was not great. If your asking why we didn't say anything about the food, I don't believe in saying anything and have food sent back. Im not saying anyrhing would happen but have been in the food industry and you just know what the cooks will do ( not saying they would do anything to the food) We get what we orderd and will decide if we will be back. The restaurant was full and happy to see that location doing well after 4 failed restaurants. Maybe it was a one off but doubt we will be back. To expensive for what you get.
