Nice authentic Indian restaurant. Good food, service in a nice atmosphere. Overlooking the water so be there in the summer. I had the the Thai Chicken which was advertised as spicy (according to Norwegian standards😇). I recently visited Royal India with high hopes for a delightful dining experience, but unfortunately, I left thoroughly disappointed. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff's attitude was far from welcoming. The arrogance and lack of manners displayed by the employees left a lasting negative impression on my visit. Not only did the staff members seem disinterested in providing proper service, but their dismissive and haughty behavior truly marred the entire meal. It's disheartening to witness such disregard for customers' satisfaction. No one should have to endure such an unwelcoming environment when they're looking forward to a pleasant dining outing. The disappointment extended beyond the service, as the overall experience suffered. The food, which I had heard promising things about, was overshadowed by the uncomfortable atmosphere created by the Owners demeanor. The combination of delicious dishes could not save the evening from being soured by the treatment received. In the end, I would caution anyone considering a visit to Royal India. While the potential for a great dining experience might be there, the present reality falls far short I believe that honest feedback is important for any establishment Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Royal India has a nice location, the interior and music is cozy, and the staff is very friendly and professional. We've been here a few times over the last years and their quality has been consistently good. Their Palak Paneer is also one of the best I've ever tried. Bonus points for a solid vegetarian menu :)

If you are in Hamar, you must eat at Royal India. The amount of food we had was incredible. All 9 of us got something different and I heard all positive comments. I had the Royal Mix Tandoori. Mine was spiced absolutely perfect with a perfect variety to allow me to try everything I wanted. The garlic Nan is also a must. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the most flavoursome Indian meals I have eaten, including many in Britain and India. The best I have found in Norway to date. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully, and with a delicious sauce. The restaurant decor was traditional and tasteful, and the service excellent. Highly recommend!
