The chicken pies are the best pies on the South Coast. Full of good wholesome tasty chicken. You can also take them home as frozen pies and bake them yourself later. The waffles are also really special. I enjoy having two different mini waffles. The prices are very reasonable. The setting is not the same as some places that have a sea view or landscape to look at and service can be a little slow, but it is a good alternative if you look looking for reasonably priced quality waffles. Note that at the time of this review that if there is load shedding they are not able to serve some a lot of these dishes.
Donuts were fresh and delicious. The pies were okay, may just be a difference in taste. The sauce in the steak & kidney as well as the onion and steak pie was like jelly, which isn’t very enjoyable in my opinion. I also just didn’t like the flavour of it. Nonetheless, the desserts were really good. I would’ve liked a few more options. The staff are very friendly.

WOW! Delicious, Freshly baked goods, daily and at such great prices I'm amazed. Bought multiple items on 2 different occasions and it was all just lovely. Pies were flaky and tasty. Cake slices were soft, REAL fresh cream, and each type had its own unique perfection. In chatting about it to others I've learned it's a neighborhood fav n I'm not surprised. On-site tables and meals also available, very cute Cafe setup n atmosphere but high class products.

Amazing food, not just bread and cakes. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Try the pies/pasties..... AWESOME and very full of meat, not just 'padding' and pastry like supermarket products. The bread and pies are produced on site daily, so prepare ahead and enjoy! 🤤😋🤗😘

Great find in the South Coast. Great coffee and the most delicious belgian waffles. Throughly enjoyed our experience. The pastries was awesome too, small range, but worth the stop. Price and quality are on the button! Will definitely return our my next trip to the dolphin coast.

Title: A Disappointing Experience at Royal Bakery Uvongo I recently visited Royal Bakery Uvongo with high hopes, but unfortunately, I left feeling quite disappointed. I ordered their Red Cuppachino, which was served with honey, but not the fresh variety you'd expect in a reputable establishment. Instead, it appeared to be old, crystallized honey that seemed to have been heated in a microwave. This certainly did not leave a good impression. As for the baked goods, they were lackluster and failed to ignite any culinary excitement. If you consider yourself a foodie and have a refined palate, I'd suggest giving this place a pass. The offerings were mundane and lacked the creativity and flair that would make them memorable. The decor, too, was a letdown. It felt dated and dull, lacking the vibrant and inviting ambiance that makes a dining experience enjoyable and memorable. Overall, my experience at Royal Bakery Uvongo was underwhelming. It's an establishment that needs a serious revamp, both in terms of its menu offerings and its interior aesthetics. I won't be remembering this as a worthwhile experience, and I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon. Parking is also a huge issue. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person R 50–100
Waffles are nicely proportioned but very chewy for freshly made. Ice cream was good and so was the Americano, Latte and cappuccinos. Baked goods look ok. Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person R 150–200 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Mega Cappuccino Custard Slice and Peppermint Crisp Slice
This was a very last minute purchase as I ran out of time to make something. I was hesitant as often when buying a cake, it looks better than it tastes. We absolutely breathed this Chocolate Mint Cream Cake in. I can't remember when a bought cake ever tasted this good!!! THANK YOU for making a special moment even more special. There were no skimping on Peppermint Crisp. Fluffy. Light. Not too sweet, not fake tasting. ABSOLUTELY delicious to the point of wanting to lick the plate. I hope you continue with this quality. ps. also bought a packet of the Koeksisters! Grandma's were the best (Made with Love) and these come in 2nd.
Lovely, friendly & relaxing atmosphere. enjoyed our breakfast.
