Have you ever had a molten chocolate cake? Then order the soufflé! It's not soufflé. No value here. Prices high, steps of service, few. If you want to pay too much to pour your own champagne and get ok food, this is the place for you. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
This is heartbreaking because I have eaten at Roy’s for years. We were seated with a pole directly in front of us. I asked the hostess if we could please move as the restaurant was pretty empty and she was rude and short and refused. The majority of the restaurant remained empty as we stared at a pole. My husbands steak was complete fat and my butter fish was not anything like I’ve ever had there. It tasted fishy and was just not good. Very disappointing in the hostesses attitude and the food in general. Missing how this place used to be. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Best meal we had in Hawaii. Best service we had in Hawaii, The salmon was perfect. The ahi appetizer was delightful. The chocolate dessert was a sweet ending to a delightful meal. Isn't what it used to be. Loud atmosphere, food was just okay. The crab cakes tasted like they were dumped right out of a frozen bag. Disappointed 😞 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Roys luckily has always been a reliable, classy spot. Great for a nice dinner and the service was excellent they had great service and the food was delicious. It was our last day in Hawaii and we were killing time. We decided to sit in an indoor restaurant with air conditioning as it was quite warm outside. My husband and I both ordered two dinners and they were excellent! Our service was fabulous and the atmosphere, I couldn't even ask for anything better. If you're in town, definitely stop by and have a bite! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Greeted immediately! Friendly atmosphere, needed reservations, decided to. Sit at the bar. We had to wait to be recognized, and basically ignored all night. Food was fabulous but service was terrible. I was mortified by the amount of money we spent on the bill. We should have went to a local fish and chips place with our own wine for better service. George was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and had good recommendations. Food was 11/10. Food presentation was beautiful. Started with the Brussel sprouts and wow! husband got the ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. I got the short ribs and shrimp, the short ribs were so tender, it melted in your mouth. that chocolate dessert was amazing. Ambiance and drinks were great. Perhaps it’s just this location, but I have fond memories of Roy’s from long ago that set a new bar for amazing local fish. The menu seems shrunken and the tables are so close together, it’s hard to have a private conversation.
