The food is worth every penny for a bar. And they are exactly what they build they foundation on. Quiet but cozy a chill spot for date night or to hang with the fellas. Have been coming here for years and this recent trip will be my last. Service has gone down hill, servers were rude and we sat for 10 minutes before getting drinks. We were sat in the far back next to large parties even though the restaurant was mostly vacant. Food arrived slow and my steak burger was cold in the middle and the fries were saltier than the Atlantic Ocean. My girlfriend asked for a medium rare steak and was given a hockey puck that was inedible. She sent the food back and ordered a burger instead and the same problems occurred. Cold and the fries were sooo salty. I really hope Roots can be what it used to be, but for now I do not recommend. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A great restaurant with great service and decent food. Would recommend for those going on a visit to ball state. Most of the people working there are students, so it gives you an idea of the students.
