Been here for 8 days and will say this was the best meal we’ve had on the island! Reservations are a must and you must order in advance. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Ms Sue is so warm and accommodating. She managed a to go order for us after our meal but she made an exception to make this happen.
Let’s talk the food tho…ooooh weee! Get the reggae chicken. It was phenomenal! The curry chicken was also amazing. Wish we’d found this place when we arrived. You will not be disappointed. I need more than 5 stars to give Roots 2👊🏾. Telling everyone in the states about Roots 2.

Fluffy and Sue are such lovely people, i feel so lucky to have interacted with them! Even though they were closed, they invited us in for a drink and showed us a lot of love and kindness. We will be back soon for dinner. This place is a gem🧡

If you are in the Marigot Bay area and don't eat at Roots 2, you should tear up your passport and never travel again.
You have to make a reservation and order in advance. Your choices are fish or chicken and the menu depends on what's fresh that day.
We both had the fish, as the chicken on the island has been fair at best. The fish was spectacular. The entire plate was spectacular. This is a can't miss experience that's nothing like sitting in a fancy resort restaurant but with food that's far better.
We were lucky enough to get a table without reservation (you can normally only eat there with pre-notification) and were really happy to have been served a really nice dinner!
Sue & everyone else there are very friendly & views are just amazing!
I spent a week in Saint Lucia and the meals at Roots 2 were hands down the best I had in terms of taste, quality, portion, and price point. I stumbled upon the restaurant while desperately searching for lunch away from the resorts in Marigot Bay. I ran into Fluffy who told me they were closed, but gave me his card and said I could call ahead and place an order. I did, Sue sent the menu via Whatsapp, and the rest is history. I ordered the Reggae Chicken and Catch of the Day as takeaway and both were phenomenal. Twice the amount of food for half the cost you'll get at Doolittle's or Hurricane Hole. There's a nice deck overlooking the bay which is especially enjoyable at nighttime. I cannot recommend it enough!

Best food and rum punch we had on the island! Chicken, sweet potatoes, and special sauce were my favorites. Sue is so lovely and attentive. We only wish we had reserved more than once!

What an experience.
Me and the family have been visiting family over in St Lucia and my partner found roots via TripAdvisor. It was her 30th and when I spoke to Sue she went above and beyond to help and ensure we were well looked after!
The food, OUTSTANDING rustic, fresh, earthy and pure Lucian home cooked food can’t speak highly enough about roots and Sue and Fluffys hospitality. If you’re in St Lucia, it’s a MUST.
PS also watch them on the Netflix series Restaurants on the Edge!
I had a wonderful time at Roots and the food was even better! The Reggae chicken was to die for. Talking with Sue and Fluffy was the highlight of the night. Great views, good food, and even better people.

Great little local restaurant with amazing views. My wife and I were served delicious local dishes by the owner (Sue), herself. There is a choice between catch of the day (fish), chicken and a veggie option with a side of noodles, rice and salad. The food is simply prepared but delicious and also at a very fair price. Make sure to bring cash since only cash and PayPal are accepted.

Yep! This is a must stop. I think there may have been a hole in my rum punch glass, seemed to go down too quick.
