This was high on my list when visiting Palm Springs and exceeded my expectations. We put in our name with the host and expected a good wait so we walked nearby to grab a cocktail. We came back and were seated at the bar since we missed our name being called. We prefer the bar so it worked in our favor. Colin, the bartender, was incredible. Our meal was perfect and we ended up getting several recommendations for the area from Colin. It really made our trip! The food was incredible. The chicken curry rice ball was the star of the show. Delicious. I love how this Vietnamese restaurant has the modern, trendy atmosphere, while maintaining the ability to cook authentic dishes. Mom and Dad loved it! We had the curry ball, duck curry, pork belly fried rice, ox tail, and calamari. Our waiter was awesome too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The best culinary experience in Palm Spring. Congee as a starter was great. Piqued our curiosity for rest of the dishes and weren’t disappointed. Crispy rice ball in curry and crispy okra were divine. The crispy beef noodles were good for kids on the sweeter side. They made the effort to see to our allergy requirements, so small fear as it was omnipresent sesame. I would highly recommend. And don’t forget to make reservations. The place gets filled at opening at 5pm. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Happy accident. We were headed to another restaurant that happened to be closed. We sat right away with a party of three! Yuzu cocktail was a tad sweet but good. The food was ordered all at once and the server did great in the pacing of our selections. All of our food was just a bit shy of authentic and leaned more on its Cali fusion. For my palette I wanted more heat and spice so I requested sambal sauce. They didn't have nouc cham. The mushroom dish was the stand out since it had Fresno chilies. There are many other dishes that I will return to try. Service was amazing and helpful and great descriptions on our choices. First time here. Saturday evening during Modernism 2024. About 30 people lined up before they opened. They were quick to get everyone seated, which was nice. Promptly welcomed by our knowledgeable server. It was obvious the bartender and kitchen were challenged by such a large number of tables at once. Took a while to get drinks and our welcome congee. Food was good. Service was good other than that initial lag. Decor is beautiful. Music was fun but the volume was as loud as some of the places on Arenas. Recommend you avoid the tables with seats/stools with no seat back. They’re quickly uncomfortable. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Definitely elevated Vietnamese food, maybe even fusion with some dishes. The gin and juzu cocktail was phenomenal. My partner tried it and he doesn’t even drink gin. The Panko crusted curry ball was tasty as it was crispy stuff stuffed with not enough meat for the price but the curry sauce had the perfect amount of flavor and spice for those that like spice and those that can’t handle spice. The Chinese sausage spring roll was a let down. The seafood dish was good but was a lot of work to de-shell everything. The salad was bright and perfect for a hot day. Came with free cold rice porridge. Must order everything all at once according to the server. Rooster and the Pig provides an incomparable experience. The service was amazing, the drinks were amazing, and, most importantly, the food was amazing. After reading multiple reviews for other restaurants in the area, we were skeptical that Palm Springs had anything worth eating. The amazing concierge at our hotel recommended RATP, however, and it did not disappoint. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees: the fennel rolls, braised Daikon, beef nopes, and pork noodles with lemongrass. My partner also had two beers, while I enjoyed two cocktails. The medley of flavors in the food were obviously above and beyond, but the cocktails too had a blend of interesting profiles that were clearly well thought out. The entire experience was delightful and I highly recommend a visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
