This place is worth a try, especially during their happy hours. A bit outdated and needs a touch of renovation. We asked to be seated on the patio, which disappointedly faced the highway and naturally collected a lot of dust. The staff didn't clean it or even offer to clean it. With a bit of care and love this place has potential. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you Rockfish. A taste of Louisiana. The wait staff were the nicest 😎. Totally had fun while waiting for the order.😄 The food was fresh to order. You always make us enjoy the great service and food. And the chef that worked 2-4-24 around 2:00pm; gets a total thumbs up 👍. We will be back.🥰 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Catfish and Shrimp Combo

Friendly service and tasty food. We stopped by here with a group from work as we were in McKinney for business trip. The food was very good and flavorful. After much convincing, we accepted to try the brownie with ice cream dessert. WOW! For the most part, the dish was delicious. I asked for more lemon herb sauce for the fish, and the okra was pretty bland compared to everything else. The service was great. The environment was calm and quiet enough to chat to feel like you had to scream to talk. It was also not crowded for a restaurant with great food and service. Sn: we went Handel's right after.. headed to leave a review there, too ;-) Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

My husband and I have been three times and have yet to be disappointed. The house margaritas are phenomenal, and I believe my favorite dish so far is the crab stuffed tilapia with the Oscar sauce. If you have a chance to try the lobster bisque I would highly recommend it, it's not as thick as I would have expected but the flavor is outstanding. The staff is very kind, helpful and attentive. I always look forward to coming here 🙂 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had dinner at this spot and had an excellent experience! We loved the fresh fish options where you can choose your style, sauce, and sides. The portions were generous, food tasted fresh, and the prices are some of the best you will find in McKinney. They had a $5 margarita special the night we went and they have daily happy hour until 7PM. It’s not fancy, but it’s a great spot for a low-key night out. Our server was friendly and helpful. We will absolutely return! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Ordered carryout back to my hotel. Had a cup of gumbo and the Bourbon Street Trio. Gumbo I liked because it was a dark roux, with a nice Cajun kick and lots of sausage and shrimp. Also enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The crawfish etoufee was just ok, and the catfish tasted like fishy catfish but I did enjoy the red beans and rice, for what they were. I'd like to try a grilled Gulf fish and the Fish & Chips. Another time perhaps. A local favorite. Note: Photo of shrimp and grits in Bourbon Street Trio order is 2/3s size -I ate a shrimp (somewhat overdone but still very tasty) and some grits before the photo - shown in hotel bowls. My dish and service were top notch! Angie waited on me and is such a doll. Excellent customer service, knowledge and warmth in spades, she provided me with an extremely pleasant dining experience. I wanted to eat on a side porch by myself and Angie gladly made that happen, wiping off my table well. I ordered my vegetables steamed because of food allergies (per her suggestion) and they were plentiful, fresh and wonderful! The delicate golden-brown pecan-crusted trout melted in my mouth. Angie checked on me often; she even remembered my melted butter (which I had forgotten about) and quickly fetched it for me. She offered me seltzer water with lime 'to go'-- she really thought of everything. I felt so well taken care of. Go to Rockfish and ask for Angie! Thank you. Good casual seafood chain. I personally love to go here because it is somewhat hidden and there is never a wait to get a table, which is of course unfortunate for the restaurant but great for patrons like myself. I enjoyed my blacken tuna cooked rare over their oscar sauce, which contains bites of lump crab meat. The dish was was well executed. My wife and daughter enjoyed their raw oyster and clam chowder (I highly recommend you try it). Unfortunately, the seafood gumbo was disappointing as it lacked depth in flavor (I suggest trying a Cajun restaurant instead). I also have to give a big thumbs up to our waiter that night, he was one of the better waiters that I can recall in recent memory. He was attentive without being too in your face. Overall, a great family dining experience for a weeknight. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
