Food was decent nothing I would pay $30 for again. Mediocre pasta was definitely overpriced and overcooked. I was here for two hours service was awful food took forever to come out. Took forever to even order. Definitely over hyped. Waiter never refilled water, never checked on us, and we watched him stand there with his hands in his pockets. He didn't know the answers to our questions. Drinks were awful margarita was just straight salt water. Definitely not coming back. This is my 2nd time eating here. Honestly second time was better than the first. We had lunch today and it was absolutely packed. Not even standing room. We were told 20 mins I I looked over at the heated tent outside and asked if we could sit in there and Karin said yes..it was a pleasure! More space, quieter even though there are tables full the service was awesome Karin and Ryan were so accommodating, the owners should be happy to have them aboard. What a delicious meal! I had the chicken Milanese my bf had the shrimp Oreganata with penne also they have an excellent bar. I suggest that separate outdoor heated tent for sure if you want some extra space. The Prices are super reasonable for lunch and the exceptional quality of food. Be prepared The restaurant is cash only A+++++++++++++++++++++ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Chicken Milanese
It's one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Baked clams and fried mozzarella appetizers were perfect 👌. Had sole and spinach for dinner. My friend had chicken parm. Was fantastic. This place will cost you, but worth the money. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It really pains me to keep updating this once stellar review. Anyone who knows my family knows how much we have adored robkes through the years. Unfortunately, every time I come back here it seems to get more disappointing. Let's start with the atmosphere. As summertime frequenters, a winter visit is usually uncommon for us. I don't think I would come here in the winter ever again. We waited nearly an entire hour in the doorway only to be ferociously shivering at our table right by the door. If you have been to robkes before, you know they maximize their space to the limit. Not only was I freezing at my table, I was also constantly being hit from the back by other customers waiting to be seated. Perhaps it's time for a rearranging? And on top of all of that, it was unbelievably loud, way too loud to enjoy a conversation. Onto the food. After an hour-long wait to be seated came yet another hour-long wait for the food. Never once was bread brought to the table nor were waters refilled. Only upon request were these accommodations met. When the food finally did come, I could not have been more disappointed. The chop chop has always been my go-to order; what I received was not the chop chop I remember and love--it was a poor excuse for it (for lack of better words). It was unbelievably dry and as you can see from the pictures, had no sauce even puddling at the bottom. I mentioned to our waiter that my meal was quite dry and he took it back to the kitchen for more sauce to be added. When it was brought back--though it looked better--it tasted extremely different. The sauce almost mirrored a water-diluted red. I insisted that my brother, who also ordered the chop chop, try my dish and tell me if it tasted different from his. He was shocked to say the least and he agreed that it tasted red. There was no doubt a difference between our two chop chops. Likewise to my last update, the downward progression of the pictures speak for themselves. By parallel, the food has also seemingly lost its flare. I once called this restaurant "my favorite place on long island" but that is just a distant memory now. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

One of the very few places on Long Island that live up to the "good Italian food" hype. From start to finish the food was stellar and the service was surprisingly solid considering how busy it was. Appetizers were great, especially the fried calamari (which was fresh and cooked perfectly). The main course was served quickly after that and there wasn't a bad dish on the table. I personally had the spicy chicken Parm and was impressed at how well the chicken was prepared and the rigatoni cooked (both had just the right level of spice). Drink wise, we ordered an espresso martini (which was of course phenomenal). We were worried when we walked in to a packed restaurant, that the service might suffer but thankfully we were seated immediately and a waiter came right over. Throughout the meal they were quick on drink refills and to clear empty plates. Our one (very minor) issue was with the parking, which was less of an actual issue and more just that we didn't know where we could and couldn't park (maybe some signs would help but the staff was quick to explain parking when we asked so it worked out fine). Overall a great meal and well worth the money in my opinion. I would say "it's just like Grandma makes" but to be perfectly honest....it was better 😅. Can't wait to come back. Tried for the first time on Monday for lunch and it was packed. Unfortunately they were not honoring the lunch menu this day I suppose because it was a holiday(new years day), it wasn’t explained why even though we asked when we made the reservation and were told they have it everyday. We did choose to stay as this is cash only and we weren’t sure we brought enough at first since we came for the lunch menu. I ordered the Bronx chicken parm with rigatoni, I thought it was very good. I sampled the pork chop martini and it tasted very good. The file of sole was good as well. The service was very good and attentive and friendly. My only issue would be people are on top of you , we felt the lady at the table next to us was a 5th member of our group , literally was between me and my wife. Also, again, this is cash only so make sure you plan ahead , although I did notice an atm inside. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Very popular, very busy, cash only. No reservations so going a little earlier to beat crowds helps. Parking can be tight, there’s a shopping center right across the street that is almost always easier than the lot. Regular menu items are all very good, but the daily rotation of specials is always worth looking at as some of their best stuff rotates on the specials. Cocktails from the bar are on point, or you can pick a bottle from the wide selection of Orin Swift wines they carry. Enjoy! Finally Finally got to try Robkes in Northport. I’ve been wanting to try them for a very long time and I recently had a day off so went there for the lunch special. The place was packed out on a random Monday afternoon at 1230pm. There was a really great vibe and you could feel the positive energy in there. We started with the fried calamari. Now, I don’t want to be over-dramatic but I’ve thought about this and I really think they just may have the best fried calamari I’ve ever had. It was so light and tender and crispy. It was really fantastic. Then we shared their famous Mac & cheese. Normally I would never order Mac & cheese at a restaurant but all the reviews on Long Island Food & Drink and here on Google made me do it. And WOW. This chef. What a rebel. You should have seen what he did with the pasta. Real gutsy move LOL! He had at least 5 different shapes of pasta on that Mac & Cheese. And it was all a perfect Al dente (I cannot stand soft pasta). It was delicious. And the sirloin steak was seasoned so well with the best flavor. I cannot wait to go back and try so many more of their dishes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I mean, this meal will kill me if I have it more than once a month, but it's got to be the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had, period. The sliced steak was genuinely medium rare, extremely succulent and very tender. Held quite well late at night as it was too big to finish over a single meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’m not really into Italian food but my father loves this place and he is a regular here, their food is quite good! I highly recommend the baked clams! Beware of the noise level if you have sensitive hearing though because it is very loud.
