The service was absolutely terrible. Waited for almost 20 minutes to have our drink order taken. The food was almost just as bad, greasy, tasteless and not cooked well. Will never be coming back. I ordered a salad and everything was fresh and flavorful. My husband enjoyed his blackened fish vegetable risotto. The fish was cooked perfectly. He loved the jalapeño cornbread. I love this place from the staff to the music and above all the food them chefs got it going on. I always get the same thing which is the blackened haddock wrap sub Jamaican jerk sauce instead of tartar its spicy as hell but is one of the best wraps I have ever had I crave it regularly and always look forward to the next time I get to order it! i can't remember when I have eaten in a worst place.. First and foremost, I got the BBQ pork on a bun @ $15. If there was one ounce of pork on the bun I will eat the front door. It appeared to be leftover from the previous day. Nasty. Then they put coleslaw on top of the pork to give it the appearance of a serving of pork . I met my niece there for lunch. If not for her being there and us having a visit, I would have got up and left. What a ripoff! It reminds me of some waterfront bar room in Portland back in the day. The difference is the bars that served food always had great food. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We've always loved Riverfront Barbecue & Grille going back to when it was Beale St. Barbecue. The addition of a newer "franchise chain" barbecue restaurant in town had only served to highlight what a gem we have here. The food, atmosphere, service, and value are all better here at the Riverfront Barbecue & Grille.

Disappointing experience. As a Texan familiar with authentic barbecue, this place fell extremely short. The food lacked the essence of true barbecue flavor, far from what one would expect. The service was below average, leaving much to be desired. Moreover, the atmosphere was dismal, failing to create a welcoming environment. We had a great experience at Riverfront Barbeque. We ordered burgers and the fish special, not wanting Barbeque so nice we knew we would be having it the next day at a wedding. Don't let the north east location fool you... take it from this Texas girl, the ribs are AMAZING. For dessert, the Pecan Fireball Cheesecake was absolutely incredible. The spicy cinnamon was the perfect complement to the creamy richness of the cheesecake! And the service was absolutely five star.
