Independent locally owned restaurant located on the University of Alabama side of the Black Warrior River. Even though we are closed on Sunday nights and Mondays, we are available for large private parties that meet a food and beverage minimum.

River Restaurant is one of my favorite spots in Tuscaloosa. The bar is absolutely amazing. However, the food is pretty bland and has no seasoning. This was my first time coming for brunch, and the food was really bland, but the drinks and everything else were great. The bartender was amazing and made sure that we were happy. The customer service was phenomenal, but the food just did not hit the spot due to the lack of flavor! This is easily the best fine dining restaurant around. The food is always delicious and perfectly portioned. The atmosphere is unlike anything else in tuscaloosa!! I have a severe nut allergy and they have always been able to accommodate me. Can't recommended more! Shout out to Holden for the great customer service!!
