Richie's in Rio Grand offers a captivating dining experience thanks to its breathtaking view and delightful atmosphere. While the food is good, it falls short of greatness. For my birthday, I opted for the chuleta can can, hoping for a bit more crunch, which left me somewhat disappointed. However, the rice and drinks were satisfying. On the brighter side, my son's choice of ribs proved to be excellent, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her pasta with chicken. Overall, Richie's is worth a visit for the ambiance and varied menu options.

Unfortunately this is a great location with horrible service leadership. I believe the potential is there for a great experience, there is a clear lack of organization (bar surrounded by patrons with no bartender), tables waiting to be addressed (we counted 4 families that just got up and left) and F&B discipline lack (food service is disorganized and flailing). That said, the spirit of the service personnel and general presence was ok, lacking a good manager to bring them together). We were not first time patrons, and this is the sad truth, expectations were low, and the business did not overcome them. The one thing keeping this business alive is the view, and location, which are superb. Please, there’s so much this business can become, give your staff the guidance, organization and support they need, and you will see a different review(s).

Service was slow:long time to get drinks, long time to get appetizers, and 1hour and half later we got our dinner. We initially sat outside after but it was cold and windy. We moved inside where the music was too loud. We were given plastic forks because they run out of silverware. The food was surprisingly cold and the Mofongo was super dry. Avoid dinner but maybe fo for a drink or lunch to enjoy the high view.

We ate at Richie's tonight, and I loved it! I had the hhrimp alfredo, and my wife had the chicken alfredo. I loved the sauce it was creamy and buttery and just tasted better than most I have had. It took a while to get the food, but "island time," so who cares. We sat outside on the balcony, which overlooked the resorts and the city. Unfortunately, there was no moon, so I couldn't see the water, but it was a peaceful nice night. The waiter brought us some on the house flan, which was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
