Last time I was in town this place was closed - so glad to see it open again! I’m not a local, so as a visitor looking for a place to have a dive bar-ish atmosphere with a pool table this was the spot. The vibe was friendly and I found it easy to chat with everyone I met about where to eat, drink, and avoid around the area. Customer service was also awesome. I didn’t get the bartender’s name, but she saw me trying to place an order from behind a crowded bar and assisted me with a delicious filthy martini. Thank you for a lovely evening, I hope this experience is a regular thing for locals and visitors alike. Ps. A water station is a great idea for a bar. One of the most hydrated crowds I’ve seen. Price per person $30–50 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is genuinely one of these places you might only really experience once. It was slightly hard to find however we persevered and genuinely glad we did. Caleb was the gent behind the bar and really adds to the experience. The locals are friendly and the venue is dog friendly. Fantastic place that only added to the fantastic experience of Rhinebeck…. Also the pretzel is amazing!!! Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Okay. So you make it Rhinebeck. You are looking for the coolest place to go? Someplace with atmosphere and great drinks? Look no further. Go here. A 1920 speakeasy with a 2000 feel. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Such a great addition to Rhinebeck! A few months ago, husband and I were looking for somewhere to have cocktails after dinner. Rhinecellar had recently opened so we decided to check it out. Drinks were great, ambiance was awesome, and bartenders were quick and friendly (once we found the entrance, which we originally walked past). We managed to score the back couch area that first night and had a really nice time. We went more recently and it was quite busy so we sat at the bar. Drinks and service were still great so I imagine we will continue to visit when we are looking for drinks. I like that they offer a few small plates as well. Nice little watering hole in the quaint town of Rhinebeck. Dart board, pool, and a good mix of folks in their 20s and 30s. Liquor and beer selection was solid, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Easily worth a stop for a drink if you're in town. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
In an ideal location in the heart of the quaint Village of Rhinebeck, this gem of an establishment is the perfect place for an evening cocktail or specialty beer. The space is clean, spacious and comfortable with a large wrap-around bar, lounge areas for relaxing with friends, and room for more active pursuits such as pool, darts, and other bar games or just watching your team on one of the several TVs. The cocktails are fantastic and professionally mixed with an ever-changing specialty list. The beer selection is great with many local micro-brews. While not a restaurant, the snack menu is not typical for a bar and includes a charcuterie board, fresh pretzels and FANTASTIC homemade meatballs topped with ricotta (a must-try). The staff is professional, experienced and attentive creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. This is the perfect after-dinner or date spot.
A great quiet place off the beat path. Drinks are adult prices, but you get proportionate pours and proportionate service. As a 40 year old on a date with his wife this place was perfect.
I recently visited Bar the Rhine Cellar and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy and intimate, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic date. The highlight of my experience was definitely the cocktails. The mixologists were skilled and creative, and each drink was a delightful blend of flavors and textures. I particularly enjoyed their signature cocktail, the Rhine Cellar, which was a perfect balance of sweet and sour. Overall, I highly recommend Bar the Rhine Cellar for anyone looking for great drinks and friendly service. In addition to the cocktails, the bar also offers a good selection of wines and beers, as well as small plates to snack on. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the drinks and the service, making it a great value for money. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious cocktails. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by Bar the Rhine Cellar for a memorable night out.
Popped in for a pre dinner drink. The team was great, atmosphere was nice and cozy and drinks were spot on. Also really liked the variety of seating available, not just a bunch of stools around the bar. Darts and pool also available if that’s your jam. A little tricky to find, but that added to the charm :-)
