Fantastic location in the centre of Maubisse. We had a room upstairs and it was a great spot to watch the coming and going from the nearby market. Comfortable and clean room with bathroom (cold water shower which was very cold on an already cool night). Included breakfast which had quite a few small dishes we hadn't seen before.

Arrived there around 5pm without a booking and was promptly proposed a room with a nice view on the small market. Literally at the entrance of the small village. basic room but still comfy for the location with a small fan.

This is a beautiful, clean and classy place to stay and eat. I really enjoyed my stay and it was great value.
The restaurant on street level has many delicious Indonesian style meals, including lalapan with fish, chicken or beef, nasi goreng, mi goreng and beautiful Timor coffee.
The rooms are immaculately clean and nicely decorated, the bathrooms have good hot water and showers.
The upstairs area has it's own kitchen for your use, and you can order from the restaurant to eat up here. The breakfast, included in the room rate, is a lovingly prepared one of fresh bread, eggs, fruit and delicious coffee. There is a great view of the town and pousada, and this upstairs area is very relaxing if you need to unwind or do some work.
The staff are all absolutely lovely and take a lot of pride in everything about Sarah's.
Probably the best guesthouse in Maubisse. If you have a bit bigger group, renting all upstairs is a good idea.
Excellent service and nice clean rooms. Good location on the main road, easy to find. Restaurant downstairs is ok.
A convenient location in the center of town. Sara seems to always be improving what they offer (which for the most part is typical and includes nasi goren and other Timor Leste favorites). Recently they began carrying farm fresh strawberries! If you're lucky they'll have some left when they're in season before their next farm run.
We stayed at their Guesthouse upstairs. This is probably the only decent place around to eat at, as on Sunday night everything seems to be closed. We had noodles.
